Roach is smart.. Pac-man is a monster a 140 and seems like he caps out around 148-149.... If he fights Shane Mosley at 147 he'll be outweighed by at least 10lbs on fight night.. not saying he won't win, just saying that he should take the big fights at 140 or catch-weights no higher than 143

The guy was outboxed by Morales once. Outboxed for 11 rounds the first fight against Marquez and arguably won the 2nd fight. Shane or Floyd would get into this guy bad. Paul Williams. Come on.
Fighters don't improve? Since I assume you've seen Pac throughout the years, have you not seen any improvement? Is there not anything within his skill set that perhaps Shane or PBF may have issue with?
"thats our seclet!" i kid i kid Pac is a monster man. btw I thought about something, Roach said that after the 2nd Marquez fight something clicked in Pacquiao, he is thinking alot better. I think that that's what happens when you fight Marquez for 12 hard rounds. You get better as a fighter. That type of experience cannot be learned in the gym even if your trainer is Freddy Roach. After fighting Marquez for 24 rounds, guys like Hatton and Diaz and even Oscar... their technique is kind of basic. Marquez is a master of the sport and Pac learned from that. Especially in the 2nd fight where I think both Pac and Marquez brought their absolute A game. On the flip side, after fighting a dynamo like Pacquiao for 24 hard rounds, is it really a surprise to see JMM knocking out Casamayor and Juan Diaz? I mean if you fight 24 rounds with one of the most atheletically gifted fighters of all time, then guys like Casa and Diaz are slow motion, they are easy to find. thats what I think about that :smoke
Roach brought up an obvious point that we didn't think of. Mayweather could've waited just a bit longer and could've gotten a fight with Pac instead of Marquez. Why didn't he?
Because he may not have any intention of fighting Pacquiao. He's already said that he feels Marquez won both fights, so beating him is enough to avoid a bout with Pacquiao.
Cuz he's smart enough to build it up and get paid by fighting Marquez first. This ensures an even greater payday when he does mix it up with Pacman. Although a superb fighter, remember Mayweather is a businessman first. If he didn't sign on to fight Marquez first and Pac won (as he did) then all the bargaining chips would be in Pac's corner. If Mayweather performs superbly against Marquez it will allow him to have more leverage at the bargaining table when it comes down to hashing out the financial details with Team Pac.
