I would like to hear your views on if the Hatton who beat Tszyu had turned up to face Pacquiao would that Hatton have won?

Would Hatton have lasted longer but with the same outcome?
Would that Hatton in fact have beaten this Pacquiao?
Or is Pacquiao simply head and shoulders too good for Hatton.

    :think :think :think

I think you meant the bias ref that Hatton had in that fight would have shown up in Pac's fight, right?

It wasn't that far off last night, if at all. Tszyu is stronger and hits harder than Pac, but Hatton was able to time him and smother his punches by leaping in and clinching before wrestling around and landing rough stuff on the inside. That tactic just doesn't work against someone so quick with power in both hands who has better timing than you. Styles make fights and Hatton is all wrong for Pac.

The fight would have gone on way longer obviously, but I think you'd have ended up with the same outcome.

its the same Hatton. Although Hatton lost the 2nd round he was doing OK up to the knockout. He started leading with his right hand more and was able to dodge the right hook. What happened is that with 20 seconds to go Pac landed a vicious right hook to Hatton's rib cage and that was the beginning of the end. He was outclassed, but he was in very good shape.
