loved it awesome fight...I thought the canadian guy (cant remember name) had excellent foot work he just didnt have the offensive arsenal to keep humberto off him all night...

Soto's performance was exaclty what he needed....it was enough of a challenge to show his more enduring strengths....but ended with a great ko...

Soto does everything well...pin point power great stamina...

Decent, but not as destructive as I thought. Dude kept movin on him. I hope he fights Guerrero next. That fight would be fire if Ghost has his balls back.

He looked alright. Gaudet probably gave him a tougher fight then expected. Who's next? Maybe Guerrero? But after his last fight, HBO might not approve. Linares?

I watched it, even if he manage to KD his opponent on the first round which I was eager and knowingly would finish early.
His opponent still manage to catch him on the later rounds and was more slicker than him.
He needs to build up his body, he has thing legs which can cause him to be off balanced against heavy handers.
All in all an Average Performance.

i was surprised with gaudet. haven't seen him fight before and thought that this would be over in 3 rounds. the guy was slick and had a good beard. soto was taking it easy during the first few rounds until he realized that it would be a long night and put on the pressure more. soto was a little impatient already and glad that he caught him later in the fight. to be honest, was more impressed with sotto's opponent but the guy would not be the same after taking those bombs.

puga Gaudet has a solid skillset but a good chin he has not. When Soto connected, Gaudet went down. Simple as that. Also he is completely featherfisted. Soto is nothing special. Think Margarito but probably not even as good as that.

that's what i thought also when soto caught him on the run and was knockdowned. after several rounds, soto caught him with several good shots but still remained standing. then a replay of the 1st KD was showed and it's a combination of soto's power and gaudet being off-balanced that led to it. imo, anyone who lasted this long against soto has good enough beard or maybe i just underated gaudet too much early in the fight.

Based on what I saw he is still a very good, solid fighter but "PAC's Krypto" He is not! He can still beat guys like Joan Guzzy although he lost to him before....I think he is the better fighter. He'll need to stay at 135 and try to clean it out against guys like Valero and Linares. Although Linares has my vote to beat him in a good scrap.

I think he lacks a killer instinct. Not only in this fight but on several other I have seen how he hurts his opponent and he just simply stops attacking going in defense mode.

one thing is for sure. if you put an athletically gifted fighter or a slick one with a solid chin and tight defense, he'll get outboxed and even knocked out.

linares should fight him. or gamboa.
