I was thinking when he came back in for the second round why are you coming forward so much when your still not steady on your legs...

You'd think his corner would have said take a round or 2 off get your head back then get back to your game plan....maybe they did...

Because Hatton is a joke and has always been one. He doesn't know how to box or adapt and therefore got his ass handed to him. He's lucky Pacman didn't send him to the hospital.

Actually, I think Hatton did go to the hospital. I read he had CAT scans and MRI's and he's ok, thank God.

Hatton was screwed in this fight no matter what he did. Even though their hand and foot speed were not that far off, their reaction times were light years apart.

Hatton is a dumb fighter. He could have kept coming foward as long as he had his hands up

HE think he can still overpower Pac by roughing him up.

With any sense he'll take more than a couple of rounds off now.

Simply because it's the only way he knows how to fight

Because as Roach explained, he does not have the ability to adapt.

    Once hurt he was doomed.

2 reasons! 1) B/c that is just Hatton's style and 2) Hatton knew PAC was going to go in for the Kill. He smelled blood with a one sided round like the first and Rick felt he needed to get PAC's respect and QUICK. There was no option to "take a round or two off" b/c in order for that to happen PAC would have had to agree with giving Rick a chance to get his bearing again.

Then, once Pac countered a clinch attempt with a right to the body that sunk in to the knuckles, he knew he was doomed.

It was obvious from the beginning of the first round that Ricky wasn't going to be listening to his trainer. Once in the heat of battle he just turns to instinct and from the moment he started charging in, we all knew it would be an easy night for Manny.

I hope Ricky fights once more in England against Khan as a farewell to his fans and to retire on a good note.

His instinctive fighting was the cause of his demise. I don't think that Hatton ever truly thought that he was going to win as was demonstrated in the last 24/7.
