Well ****, why did PAC even fight anyone. I mean, Floyd retired and it was instant top of the world for PAC. SHUT THE **** UP.

Are you to stupid to understand a simple concept of economic? The champ and the guy drawing the people to the PPV gets the lion share. This mythical P4P don't mean ****. It is about the PPV numbers when your talking about your purse. I gave you the best example and that was DLH. He got 60% when fighting Floyd. You know why? or are you that stupid?

PAC doesn't need Floyd. He can make 8 figures fighting Cotto, Mosley, JMM, and anyone else he desire. Its Floyd comming out of retirement chasing PAC. Your to stupid and blind that you can't see it. If Floyd wants more money then this fight will never get made. Lets just see how many people tune into PBF vs JMM.

thats why i'm telling you, when pbf beats jmm by july 18, pac would need him. I remember a lot of people think jmm is the true p4p#1, like divac for example

Another precipitated thread topic. Jumping the gun maybe? Can you wait until the numbers from Pacquiao-Hatton come in so they can be compared to the Mayweather-Hatton numbers, those would be the best numbers to calculate who should get the lions share because Mayweather-Marquez wouldn't even be too accurate since Pacquiao's dominated opponents in 2 bonafide super fights since he fought Marquez. This is a toss up until those numbers come out and even still the recession should be taken into account.

    Please.

Manny dominated Oscar and Hatton far more than Floyd ever did! Manny is on top of the world right now, Floyd thinks he is but he isn't. He's been out of the sport a couple of years, he can't just walk back in and be the #1 in the sport. He has to take it from Manny... well, he has to try... but he won't. Floyd needs it more, but he'll be too **** scared to take the fight.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Floyd vacated the p4p #1 spot so's Pac could have it ?

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

There are a number of possible reasons for Floyd's retirement, ranging from an unwillingness to rematch Oscar, to loss of interest, to hand problems, etc.

    But your suggestion is new.

    And ****ING RIDICULOUS !

Floyd can perhaps make a case for 50 %, depending on how he does against JMM.

Outside of the US, Pac has a FAR greater recognition and following than Floyd.

Inside the US, Floyd has a slightly greater profile and probably a lesser following than Pac.

This is the biggest purse either man can make at this point and each needs it as much as the other.

BTW, Hatton should have had a 50 % share of last night's purse.

Greedy little *******s have prevented major fights before, and robbed the fans of the spectacle.

Bernard ducked both Calzaghe and a RJJ rematch when he was prime.

And not out of fear, but rather, GREED.

    logical post.

It isn't about that here, this is about Floyd's fan boys doing their thing and us slapping them down.

It is the internet, it is entertainment.

no need to hate son, i can see your point. Floyd was not yet the draw when he face DLH, but aside DLH he is the draw. Pac can make 8 figures fighting jmm, cotto, or mosley but he can make much and much more from fighting PBF, plus it adds more legacy into his resume if he ever wins.

Remember PBF, is more of a draw than those people mention. Its simple math, you add 2 big draws and you get more:deal

Homie....you gotta look at this with some perspective. JMM is a guy who is SMALLER than floyd....one that hasn't faught at 140 let alone 144. He is going to loose and it's pretty much a given. Not knocking JMM or anything...he'll put up a fight but Floyd is more talented and has better boxing skills.

No one! And I mean NO ONE considers anyone the P4P champ other than PAC or Floyd. That's gospel. Divac....he has a love for JMM and he is biased in that regard. he is knowledgable but I think he has a hard time letting go of the losses PAC gave Juan.

Just b/c Floyd beats JMM doesn't mean PAC will be beating down Floyd's door for a fight. It will make good promotion but if Floyd prices himself out it will be b/c he's greedy and really not interested in making the fight. It should be 50/50 or in favor for PAC slightly.

Let see how many people watch that fight.

Because he isn't a draw and Manny is.

Because Manny just iced the last 2 common opponents they both had.

Because PBF will not excite anyone in his scheduled bout vs Marquez.

The US may well generate the most money for top fighters, but that doesn't automatically translate into support for Mayweather, therefore he doesn't deserve the greater purse split. When you take into account the waning popularity of boxing in the US, do you seriously believe PBF's WWE and Dancing with the Stars fans can make up the shortfall to total 50% of the US population?

In fact, there would be a lot of US support for Manny because:

    a) a lot of Mexican Americans would want to see PBF lose
    b) there are a lot of Philippino expats in the US
    c) Manny burst onto the scene and excited the US audience in his first fight with Marquez, and has had many exciting fights since then. People know he is an excitement machine. Who likes PBF? Nuthuggers like you, and WWE fans...

you are not getting the picture, look at mayorga-vargas for example how mayorga selled that fight more, if not for all those things he did people wouldn't even care about that fight
