I think Hatton should fight once more in his home town and give his loyal fans one last party then retire. If he decides to retire now then all is good.
If Hatton does not retire, he will fight Katsidis in England in his next and last final fight. You've heard it here first.
I have a very very good source, i obviously cant reveal. Up to you if you want to believe it. Doesn't bother me. I tried looking on the net to see if there was anything leaked, only thing i could find was from the UK Star website. One of two things will happen, take it from me, either hatton will retire or he will fight Katsidis in Manchester for his swansong fight between September- November. --------------------- "It hurts but I'm OK. I didn't really see the punch coming. It was a great shot but I know I'll be OK." The talk before was if Hatton lost there might be a 48th and final fight in Manchester in November, possibly against the Australian Michael Katsidis. Such a contest after this brutal beating seems totally pointless and he would only be risking further injury.
If Hatton does fight on, his farewell would be against Witter, and not Katsidis. You sure your source isn't your sauce thats running down the side of your leg, cos thats what it sounds like.
There is no chance that Hatton will fight against Witter. This fight would be way too risky for Hatton coming off a defeat to Pac, and Hatton has always said that he wouldn't want to give Witter his biggest pay day. A fight against ODLH or Khan is more likely but a fight against Katsidis sounds interesting.
Its sounds like a viewable fight, but as you said... a punishing one. I'd like to see the bout, personally, although nothing will be gained in the fields of endevour for Hatton. So, why would anyone suggest a Hatton/Kats fight?? Just sounds a bit ludicrous... then again, Pac DESTROYING Hatton was not what I expected either. I dont think Ricky needs to prove or be punished anymore.... will have to wait for further news.
No worries. My posts where in no way agressive or sarcastic, so i at least would like the same applied in return. I wont ask where you have received your information from, though are you confident/ have heard it from someone within the boxing fraternity ? or is it only via the internet. I am very confident in where my info has come from. Cheers
Sorry for being harsh. I'm drunk, and it just sounded a bit too unrealistic. I hope it does come off, because I'd like to see that fight. I just doubt that the defeatist attitude was in place before the fight had even begun. Imo, if any of the guys were looking ahead of themselves, the only name that would have been on their minds would be Mayweather.
