PAC by a country mile..... I wonder who will be the first Floyd fan to point out Manny's KO losses and FMJ's shiny perfect record as reason enough for Floyd to be the best
i say hopkins, i just marvel at his age and the wins over tarver, pavlik, wright and for that decade you gotta add the de la hoya and trinidad victorys and for a 44 year old fighter to do that and outclass pavlik in such a way and for all most his entire career he has never been outclassed , knocked out, well i know most of you have pac but i gave hopkins so much credit for the career he's had so i choose him
They can't point to Manny's KO losses in this thread, because one was in 1996 and the other was in 1999.
I don't think anyone can say Hopkins isn't a perfectly valid choice. He has been absolutely immense for the entire decade. The only fight I had him losing 2000-10 was Taylor II, and one loss is nothing considering the fantastic standard of opposition B-Hop has fought. His age-defying achievements will never be forgotten.
That would be the logical thing to say, but anyone who thinks Floyd is the bees fighter of the decade doesn't use logic to begin with.... But so far so good, maybe they've relised the error of they're ways
IMO Marquez's resume is better than Calzaghe's over the last decade. Wins over Barrerra, controversal matchs with pacman, aswell as destructive knockouts of high calibre opponents such as Diaz and Casamayor.
Yeah but Calzaghe has a padded protected zero, and that will always fool some of the people all of the time.
Why would I have to point out Manny's KO losses, when his fights with Marquez are far more interesting, fights where he lost more rounds then Marquez. However its Pac right now, but after Floyd KO's Marquez and beats Manny, this will change.
