Rocky Marciano deserves to be mentioned in this thread.

Actually Marciano never should never beat mentioned periond unless you are making fun of how overrated he was.

amatuer Teofilo Stevensons Right hand flattened many American heavys, Nick Wells, In the pros Louis,Marciano,Lewis,Tyson....Foreman had clubbing power not a sharp puncher,Frazier had a great hook, louis and Marciano were the masters of the 6inch levereged bomb

I thought Marciano was the master at fighting 40 year old people at the end of their careers and still took 9 rounds of punching to knock them out. You know like how it took him 9 rounds to knock out Archie Moore even though he was knocked out 4 times before he fought Marciano and those 4 times he was knocked out faster than what Maricnao did. Jersey Joe Walcott was also pushing 40 and was knocked out various times in his prime quicker than Marciano did.

Foreman had knockouts in 68 of 76 wins so i think it was a little more than just clubbing power, Frank Bruno, Tommy Morrison, could all punch.

Funny you say that, because in an other thread, you just said that Vitali Klitschko has little power when he has 36 out of 37 by knockout, which is better than 68 out of 76. But i guess your little pea-sized brain can't comprehend why that constitutes a contradiction.

And learn how to quote. At least then your ignorant, ******ed **** will be readable ignorant, ******ed ****.

Teofilio Stevenson. I strongly feel if he was allowed to compete in the pros, he would have been larry holmes kryptonite with that right hand and a jab good enough to compete with Larry's, Teofilio would have knocked Holmes down with a right hand then finished him off.

you say that stevenson would have been holmes' kryptonite, yet nick wells already was for holmes.IN 1972 NICK KO' D HOLMES TWICE, ONCE IN THE GOLDEN GLOVE NATIONALS IN THE 3RD RD AND THEN LATER THAT YEAR IN THE OLYMPIC TRIALS IN THE FIRST RD WITH A HORRIBLE GASH ABOVE HIS(nick's ) EYE THAT HE SUFFERED FROM A DOOR HIITING HIm AT THE TEAM HOTEL ACCIDENTLY BY A TEAMATE, THEREFORE WHICH THAT CUT ENDED UP COSTING WELLS A SPOT ON THE 72 OLYMPIC TEAM. i know wells was a flop as a pro but i know for a fact that winky groom nick wells' (worthless)manager/ trainer and nick himself sat down with don king when nick was pro to try to set a 3rd fight between the two of course don would not have any of it for two reasons 1. nick did not have the ranking to i guess justify the fight, yet it could have been non title exhibition.2) IT WAS GOING TO BE A COMPLETE EMBARRASMENT FOR LARRY TO LOSE TO SOMEONE WHO WAS RANKED 13 OR 15 (WHATEVER OLE NICK'S RANKING WAS AT THE TIME). NICK WELLS WAS THE RIDDLE THAT LARRY HOLMES COULD NOT SOLVE, THEREFORE JUSTIFYING THAT HE WAS LARRY'S TRUE KRYPTONITE.

Wells devastated Holmes and this was (the sparring partners of Ali )Holmes...Wells had his number...I think Wels would have needed a great trainer to adjust his power into a style. Nick also was a southpaw and they used to convert Heavyweight Southpaws ( Joe Frazier was a converted southpaw so was Cooney (great left hookers) If Wells left Texas and his son (he was the solo parent) he could have had a manager with clout and a great trainer...he needed a top trainer for the conversion. People dont realise how you can ruin a great prospect by not having the right teacher to adjust to pro's especially those with extensive amatuer careers....but Wells could HIT and he was a squat 5"10 but solid white guy from Texas

Tommy Morrison's left hook was one of the most powerful punches I saw.
