If you are going to keep your hands low then you had better have the speed to compensate for it. David Haye can get away with it. Hatton and Froch cannot.
i have been a big froch fan for a few years and attended many of his fights,and agree that his defenses fail at world level, certainly room for improvement. but do you think that it is too late to change his style now? he's almost in his thirties and has moulded himself into this style,perhaps he may be able to adapt better now as i feel his confidence must be improved by his last 2 fights. carl is amost certainly a confidence fighter with a massive heart,hits hard and thinks well,will the low hands be his downfall,or will his ability to adapt to a fight give him 3-4 good years?
If Hatton had his hands up, in a standard stance, Pacs punch would have hit a glove. He did not and his back hit the canvas
Roache's main plan for Hatton was to hit him which a shorter hook as Hatton cocked his own left hook. I'm not sure how Hatton is supposed to keep both his hands up when he's throwing a left hook.
