Jermain Taylor just needs to strengthen his conditioning and do more roadwork. Ricky Hatton's punch resistence is gone and he has no defense after nearly 50 fights.

    Hatton by far

Hatton, definitely. He is finished as a top level fighter, physically and mentally. I think Jermain can still come back if he works on his stamina and ring smarts/finishing.

I had to vote for jermain taylor.... ricky hatton wasnt really **** in the first place...jermain taylor had reached the peak and people believed in him way more than they believed in ricky hatton

then boom kelly pavlik & carl froch destroyed him

i think jermain taylor's losses are way more difficult to cope with than ricky hatton's

Hatton has had his day but Jermain can come back. He deserves a rematch against Froch and may have a say in who ends up bossing the SMW division.

Jermain Taylor ain't never embarassed himself like that.

It's one thing to be better than your competition in certain ways, butlack the stamina to carry it through... and to be simply outclassed to the point where you would get KOd 10 out of 10.

Jermain Taylor has what it takes physically to beat Froch. All his dumb ass needed to do was hold on the guy in the 12th instead of laying on the ropes.

Hatton couldn't make it to round 6 with Pac if the fought him 10 times. And his jaw is a bit shaky considering his style.

Taylor will pound most champions at 168lb and is far from 'done'.

He just needs to fight boxers like Bute and not bangers like Miranda or Froch.

Hatton was always better than Taylor.

Taylor barely had a certain win once he stepped up.

It pains me to say this but it as to be hattons, I think throughout his career as shipped loads of punches. He has had a great career, and losing to the most talented fighters in the last ten years, well there is no shame in that.

Hatton just ran into elite fighters and lost, no shame there really.

Jermain's case is confusing, it's like he got everything way too soon and just lost interest to be honest. The rematch with Pavlik clearly proves that he can actually beat the man, same with Froch and he just faded like he doesn't have the desire anymore. This is the same man who was also tired late against Hopkins and we all know how Hopkins breaks opponents down and hunts them late when they're tired. Jermain hanged in there, punched back and handed Hopkins his first loss in nearly 11 years and ended his 20 title defense reign. Then he goes in the rematch and beats him more convincingly.

I would say Jermain is more done to be honest, when you beat someone like Hopkins TWICE then go on to lose to someone as good as a tomato can in Carl Froch then you know you just don't have it anymore.

Oops, I voted for Taylor. I thought it meant who's done more in their career out of the two.

Hatton's definately more shot/done then Taylor, as his punch resistance is gone.

Though Jermain has proven himself to be very beatable...as you say Hattons punch resistance seems to have eroded badly and considering his style deals with eating a little leather....

I'd say the fabulous Ricky Hatton should hang them up the way Kostya and Oscar did.
