(Corus Sports - If Lucian Bute had to face Carl Froch, his coach Stéphane Larouche would not be worried.

In a CKAC Sports interview, Larouche said he was not impress at all by Froch performance against Jermain Taylor

« He is very tough, very strong, but in term of boxing ability, its atrocious. He is not fluid and doesn't have any good combo. He is a amateur boxer, big, tall and strong. He got a really good physical condition, a huge desire to win and he never give up, that's what I was impress about him, but I think that Jermain Taylor was unlucky.

Larouche think Froch won only because Taylor was tired late in the fight.

Larouche think Bute can handle Froch quite easily.

« This guys is tailor made for Lucian. He is big and strong. We just have to stay awake for his big punch, but I dont think he would be able to touch Bute. He has zero mobility. Against Taylor, he was falling up front. He wanted to hit, but he swing and miss a lot. He is not precise. We have to respect Froch strenght and desire to win, but appart from that, he is not impressive »

Larouche has always been a little arrogant. He always likes to talk trash during the press conferences before the fights.

It's a big contrast with Bute who's always quiet and respectful.

Larouche comes from Saguenay (a region in the province of Quebec), where people have, let's say, a lot of confidence in themselves. Will Froch respond to that?

Larouche = Jack Lowe...They both trash talk for their fighters because Bute and Pavlik are not trash talkers...

Larouche is a freaking ass. I am sick and tired of seeing him as a boxing "expert" every time boxing is shown on RDS.

He even had the gall to call the attitude of Andrade and his team as a loser's attitude after they questioned the end of the Bute Andrade bout (No matter what your opinion of this is that comment is unacceptable)

"pitoyable", "pas de combinaisons" Jeez, he probably said the same thing about Andrade didn't he?

To be fair to Bute, that was probably the only time he got gassed in a fight and was in serious trouble. I'd have to see more of Froch besides the Taylor and Pascal fights to see how he would measure up against Lucien.

I think Froch would beat Bute convincingly. Bute doesn't posses the same speed as Taylor, and this is good for Froch who may be able to turn the fight into a war in the middle rounds. And if the fight turns into a war, there's only going to be one winner. After Froch takes his next mandatory, I hope the fight with Bute gets made. Froch has already publicly expressed a desire for this.

ahah good try :tired. Bute is a better boxer than Taylor. AT least as fast too. I hope this fight happens.

I agree with Larouche. He's cocky but he's right.

I don't think you could disagree with anything he said.

Froch is strong, he does have great desire and toughness.

But he fights like a clown. Gotta say it like it is.

So do I, I think this is one of the easiest fights out there for Froch. Froch stops Bute in about 10.

Froch expressed a desire to fight more on US and Canadian soil before the Taylor fight. No matter what you think of the guy at least he flies across the Atlantic to prove how good he is against top competition.
