Lose 20lbs in 3 ~ months

    I've got a fight in late August and I need to cut about 20lbs. What should I be eating to retain the most lean mass, and should I just start adding some more cardio?

    Yes, more cardio if you want to lose that much.
    Balanced diet ~ more activity.
    3 months is plenty of time that you won't have to do anything drastic.

    Whatever your goal is you should eat whole natural foods, the amount is what varies depending on your goals and activity levels.

    Drink a lot of water.

    A gallon a day before you eat anything. I never tried it but i heard it works. Seems like a bit much to me though.

    Does this sound right;

    Lean protein + vegetables - less pasta and carbs + more cardio?

    And I will stop eating deserts and stuff completely

    Sounds good.
    Stick to water and tea (or coffee if you drink it), no soda or juice or sports drinks really, lots of sugar in those.
    Do you ever eat any fruit?

    less carbs, more lean foods (tuna, salmon, egg whites, etc) and up the cardio the wieght should come off no problem.

    Losing weight is simple, burn more calories than you take in.

    Drink a cold cup of water before every meal, it will help you feel fuller. . Cut back on sodium and sugars, these retain water; Especially sodium.

    Any meat should not be larger than your palm! and no frying!

    Carbohydrates aren't the worst thing that can happen to you but avoid it. . White FOODS! Avoid white bread, white rice, white pasta etc.

    Instead try some long grain brown rice, multi grain bread. . Turkey is a nice protein filled meat to try.

    Salads are the best <3

    That's most of it. Also don't eat white bread - in fact if you can do without bread - even better still.

    Skip alot, run and generally increase the cardio.

    I lost 20 lbs in 3 months a couple of years ago - it's not hard if you stick to the plan. Should lose about 2 lbs every week.

    you can loose 10lb in one day walking on a treadmill with a sweat suite for 1 hour.

    cut out all carbs.

    or starve yourself.

    Seems a bit much, and besides totally useless.

    And destroy your metabolism.

    . well there are no short cuts, and its better than loosing muscle. if you have to cut weight do if for 10 days and monitor you weight and loose water, dont eat and starve yourself, your body will recover quickly.

    I once losed 16lbs in two weeks. I think I died and was brought back to life using voodoo black magic.
