fair enough he stepped up and for a long time I didn't think he would be interested, and so too did a lot of his sane fans.

But look what happened when he did take on elite fighters :lol:, beat up and banged out both times.

You know what Betty Swollocks......wasnt wrong in the sense that he pretty much knew what Hatton was about from day 1.

Of course Hatton went and took on Mayweather and Pacman..........who wouldnt..........big money along with big reward and risk.

What Betty, scurla etc are saying is that he didnt take on other big risks as they didnt offer huge finianical rewards.

    Everything was calculated.

Lets look at Carl Froch........he didnt have to fight Taylor......he could have done a Calazaghe and fought men he was well favoured to beat.

Haye could have done the same and chased a fight with Valuev or Chagaev....but instead is looking to fight both Klits.

I think this thread is about as conclusive a piece of evidence as you can get that he was

    So stop moving the goalposts

    It's as plain as day

The thread is: 'Will Hatton fight an elite fighter in his prime?'. Therefore he was very, very wrong.

Don't you see the correlation between fighting the best and making the most money from a bout???

What the **** has Calzaghe, or Froch for that matter, have to do with this thread? Anyway, was Hatton favoured to beat Tszyu, FMJ or Pac?? Froch wants to fight the big names to make the most money. He's 31 and in need of some serious paypackets and recognition, of course. I can hardly blame him.

If the rumours regarding the state of Haye's hands are indeed true, it's not difficult to see why he's going straight for the #1. Anyway, the man thinks he can win and good on him.

I don't understand what the **** you are getting at with these Froch, Calzaghe & Haye points anyway. Stop talking shite. The point is that Betty's failure was of epic proportion. Probably the biggest in ESB history.....For confirmation of this you'll have to ask in the Classic forum?

Since the Kostya fight Hatton has looked **** in every fight apart from the non punching Maligfaggi and the Castillo debacle.

The Pac loss is the icing on the cake of his career.

So what you're trying to say is that he chose to take on the highest risk fighters out there at for huge money rather than taking on moderate risk fighters for **** poor money? Well, that's something to be critical about isn't it? Whilst I have praised Froch for having the guts to go take Taylor on in America and rightly so, the rewards he got from that bout were probably more than taking on 3-4 Bika type (i.e. dangerous but low reward) fighters in the U.K. Froch is older than Hatton in any case, it really is "now or never" for him to make decent money and establish a good legacy.

And the favourable comparison of Froch to Calzaghe is a bit much bearing in mind that he's fought a total of one proven world class fighter in his career to date and even that way a guy Calzaghe would have been a decent size favourite over. I digress though...

So what you're saying is he has looked **** in every fight except the fights he didn't look **** in.

    I agree then.
