Don't get me wrong here. I am saying Presscot would knock out any LW IF lands solid like against Khan. Not that he could beat any LW. He took out Khan, that was a massive win. No one thought he had a chance against such an amazing fighter.
The amount of ignorance in this thread is astounding , considering we haven't even got to the third page yet......atsch He does NOT punch like a Middle Weight, just because he KTFO out of the guy who has the worst chin in boxing doesn't mean he hits that hard.... He ****ing went life and death with Humberto Toledo is his very next fight after Khan... He Hit Toledo with everything he had, and flush too... but could never even daze him... Toledo is a fcking Taxi Cab driver who had been KTFO by bums. This is the most pathetic attempt to excuse Amir Khan's crushing defeat..... Hardest Punchers in Boxing? No Light Weight Could stand up to his power?? I guess You didn't watch the Humberto Toledo v Presscott fight... the one where Toledo was practically a punching bag and was never once dazed.... Like I said, Toledo has been KO'd in the recent past, by poor fighters too. Nice try though...... moron Khan was wobbled from a jab..... then did the chicken dance from a somewhat glancing blow.... then got KTFO..... and you think it was a lucky punch? And you really think Khan will all of the sudden develop amazing punch resistance? .... there is a reason why Amir Khan will be protected by Warren for the remainder of his Career... they want to get as much $$$ out of him as possible before he gets into the ring with another live guy and gets KTFO again.... wake up The Truth is Presscott is a decent fighter , but has been getting vastly overrated because of the Khan KO....
This. His power is very overrated at this point though. Toledo has a sketchy chin, and he couldn't put a dent in him. Also, he telegraphs his punches, which will cause him problems against good boxers.
I dont it has anything to do with luck...Kahn just doesnt have a solid chin...thats why he couldnt stand up to that shot.
Terry did you NOT read my posts? What makes you believe Presscott is a huge puncher??? Just because he knocked the Fck outta Amir CON ?? Is it because he is 21-0 with 18KOs???? lol , you realize that the few times he fought out of Columbia he has been exposed as a mediocre puncher??? The only person that wasn't a Columbian Cab Driver that got KTFO by Bresscot was Amir Khan GTFO noob :hi:
He's raw right now, but he's an interesting prospect and I'm keeping my eye on him. He does have 18 kos in 21 wins, but his opponents before Khan have apparently been D and F level fighters, going by their records. (One possibly exception in the guy right before the Khan fight, who was 10-0-1 and took the fight on short notice). His last fight was with Toledo, a guy with a reputation for being chinny, (34 wins, but KO'd 5 times in his 5 losses) and Prescott didn't put much of a dent in him. (Although on the other side, Toledo was leading with his head the whole way, and opened up a cut on Prescott right in the first round that way and fought dirty and mean as **** the whole fight). On the other side, though, Prescott maintained his composure well despite multiple cuts and Toledo constantly fouling him, and fought a very smart and slick fight at distance, using some very impressive defense and movement, showing that while his power has gotten all the attention, his defensive skills are better than you'd expect. The Good: looks to be well schooled, good defense, solid punches but doesn't fall apart if he can't KO a guy. Tall and rangy and can fight tall and at distance, but the height may mean he'll have to move up in weight soon, because there are not many guys who can stand almost 6 feet (Prescott is 5'11 according to boxrec) and still stay at lightweight. Seems comfortable fighting on inside, unusual for a tall guy. Kept his composure very well with a guy fouling the **** out of him. (Toledo eventually got DQ'd in the last round for biting Prescott). The Bad: Punches kinda wild at times, and leaves major openings with several punches, most notably the uppercut. (He throws his uppercut like Ali, and like Ali, he's majorly vulnerable to a left hook). He looked very tired and out of it by the end of 10 rounds with Toledo, a bad sign for his stamina.May already be cutting more weight than he should to stay at lightweight. End result is he's going to need honing and development, especially in his offense and with shortening and tightening his punches, but there is a lot of upside with him. I've been a little high on him since seeing his defensive skills, and think that may do more for his career than his offense unless he does do some development, and maybe get himself a better trainer. (BTW, you should try looking up the Toledo fight, at leats as of a couple of weeks ago it was on youtube).
Almost all of Prescott's wins came in Colombia against limited opposition. KO the weak-chinned Khan, put him on the map. Still is an unproven fighter.
Good power altough not anywhere near where some say it is,good boxing skills, tall, strong physically. Good figter but not great now or ever.
Ive watched several of Prescotts and really wasn't that impressed. As for the Khan KO,thing is Amir has that uncanny ability to make even the most modest of punchers appear much more powerful.:good
