lil Floyd is hoping his size will be a factor, since Marquez is moving up TWO weight divisions to face Mayweather Jr. If JMM is comfortable at whatever weight he comes in, then it'll be a great fight. Actually, it could b a boring fight. FMJ will put his running shoes on as usual and try to do the "punch and run" with minimal risks.

Rofl. People are on crack thinking this will be Floyds toughest fight. Yeah, in terms of P4P ability Marquez is the best fighter Floyd has ever fought, but in terms of H2H ability, I doubt he's on the level of Corrales at 130 and definitely not as good at 135 as Castillo was. Prime Castillo would have KO'd Juan Diaz inside 5 rounds.

    Floyd by KO.

Plus, I have say it again : Floyd hasn't fought in a year and only TWICE in the last two!! That could be a huge factor.

if he can carry similar performances to his last 2 fights, output skill and endurance wise he can cause floyd trouble

my doubts are has he had his fair share of gruelling match ups?
styles match up--- both are known for counter punching--- this could be a boring fight..both waiting for the other... i hope not tho

I'm not sure if he'll win, but I do think JMM will surprise some people and make it a much more competitive fight than people think. My guess is the wieght differencial won't look like all that much by fight time and Marquez is too good a fighter to just go in there, lay down, and look like ****. Not gonna happen.

I'm by no means underestimating Marquez, but Floyd has to be a serious favourite in this fight.

The difference is that Floyd has stayed in shape, unlike other inactive fighters.
