1. Manny Pacquiao 2. Juan Manuel Marquez 3. Bernard Hopkins 4. Shane Mosley 5. Paul Williams 6. Miguel Cotto 7. Nonito Donaire 8. Vic Darchinyan 9. Chad Dawson 10. Tomasz Adamek Quick list, i would probably change up a few things slightly if i put more thought into it.
I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to be there - But shouldn'y you actually wait to see how PBF performs before he's instantly number 3?
Good list, I like Mayweather being in there despite the fact he's been inactive. Good placement of him as well, He will have to beat Marquez and Pacquiao to regain his status as p4p king. Donaire is the only one i would question as he's not quite done enough for me to be top ten but a good list all the same. These p4p lists are starting to look strong again and with a host of talent just outside, Boxing is alive and kicking again in 2009.:good
Cotto can't be top ten again for beating Michael Jennings. Just like I don't see Pavlik in there for beating Rubio. Mosley shouldn't be as high as 4 because he beat an unskilled Margarito (one of my all time favorite beat downs). Shane could easily lose to a number of fighters in his weight classes less suited for him.
I'm actually known for being a descriptive poster, but this is the 100th P4P thread I've seen lately, and your reasons do not fall into the definition of P4P (though I agree somewhat with your statement regarding Pavlik:good)
I guess I just asssume that P4P has to do with skill and head to head ability in and around a fighters weight class, and also who they have beaten and lost to. Pac, JMM, and Bernard make top 3 because they dominate these criteria. Fighters like Hatton and Margarito do not belong in such list EVER. And if Cotto loses to Margarito, he is out until he proves his skill once again. If he beats Clottey, we will talk.
