Michael Katsidis will move up to Light Welterweight and travel to Manchester to fight Ricky Hatton according to his trainer Brendon Smith.

Smith say's "I believe it's still a very good chance of happening. Knowing Ricky, i don't think he'll want to end his career like that.
We are not concerned about going to Ricky Hatton's backyard because we've taken our show on the road for the last two years. Michael has a fan base all over the world."

What do you think about Hatton/Katsidis?

    I would ****ing love that.

I would expect a good tear up there.

Has it not been said, Kats has had to many hard fights and Hatton has now too ?

Anyways, who cares, I call this a good fight.

Agreed but then who does he fight if he wants a farewell etc, a brawler, a counter puncher, a boxer ?

In some ways he dosent need any.

    Would be a great fight.

As a Hatton fan though, I'd like to see him steer well clear of bangers given last weekends outcome.

Not a chance Warren would put Khan in with that kind of puncher!

I want to see him retire. I followed him since i saw the Thaxton fight. My favourite no ! Any fight of his that was on, i certainly watched. Fought who was put in front of him, had a great career.

**** all that last fight in Manchester for the fans pish. He will only get sheckled for it win or lose unless its another P4P HOF fighter.

    Great career, good person.

    End off

EDIT : Though if he did fight Kats, i expect it would be a stormer but i would prefer he retired, is what i meant.

I think Hatton would be too big for him, but would be a great battle. Love watching katsidis.

I don't want to see this.
What does either man bring to the other? Hatton gets to beat a lightweight or Katsidis gets to beat an faded name. And it won't go the distance, so someone gets a spanking for no real reason.

That guy sounds like a disgrace. 'Oh that Hatton got knocked out easily, suddenly I fancy fighting him' Usually fighters challenge each other when one has had a good victory don't they?
Why is he wanting to fight the loser and not the winner?

Hatton will want a non punching fighter if he decides to stick around awhile and have one last send off in Manchester. Then he will probably see the pound signs and fight Khan.

I doubt guys like Katsidis will enter his mind when picking the next opponent.

Even smaller chance that Hatton has the bottle to fight him now.
