Marquez can beat Floyd and don't be shocked if it happens

I wouldn't favour JMM over Floyd if it was prime Floyd @ 130 against JMM let alone at 143

And i'm a huge JMM fan

 

Well, the fight is at 144 pounds, which favors floyd. PBF has the reach, and speed advantages, but not necessarily the better skills. Sure, floyd
is slicker, but he's not as smart as marquez, nor does he have the same
heart. This fight will come down to who wants it more, and who's better
prepared.
My pick is mayweather by 116-112 UD.

However, when and if floyd meets manny, he will suffer his 1st loss.

I think Floyd would have a harder time with Marquez than Pac. Pac looks is at his best when he overwhelms his opponents with his speed - this will not happen to Floyd. When fighting Marquez, he's going to have to play a little bit of chess and make sure that his gameplan stays is a step ahead of one of the smartest boxers in the world.

 

Yes and Marquez is doing so 'bad' in his last to matches.

 

He CAN beat Floyd, that's for sure. But it isn't likely. Too many advantages, Floyd has. The size, speed, and probably power as well. However, ring rust could be a huge issue. And skillwise, if there was ever someone who is likely to land cleanly on Floyd, it would probably be JMM.

I give him about a 20% chance of success. But I really do hope he pulls it off.

100% correct. You don't need to be Nostradamus to make such paramount predictions, especially when he ducks the likes of Williams, Cotto, Mosley and among a few others.

His last two matches were tremendous, but we are now talking about PBF. Also, Marquez has to move up to 143. The money he is going to get paid must be a lot to risk going up to 143. If he loses, but looks good, he will still be a fighter to watch out for. Many fights for him at 140. Marquez fighting PBF is like any fighter fighting Oscar, payday.

 

I'm not gonna be shocked . . . like what I have already posted in another thread yesterday . . . JMM has the skills to dissect PBF . . . my only concern is the additonal 10 lbs at his age. JMM weigh in at 134.5 in his last fight . . . this fight going to be at 144. :deal
