This is my main reason why Pac can't beat Floyd...

The jab. Morales controlled PAc from a distance when Pac was lunging in. Morales and Marquez were able to jab PAc, and counter him when he leaped in. If you are able to time Pac's lunges like Marquez was, you have a good chance to make PAc fight a flat footed fight. People think J.M.M beat Pac in the rematch by outboxing him. Morales outboxed him. Floyd is the master boxer, and has more power than both of those guys. The shoulder roll, and the right hand by the chin pretty much makes Floyd bullet proof against Pac. The fact that Floyd would have a size advantage is one thing, but the reach advantage is a true advantage...especially with Floyd's speed. Floyd lands his jab to the pit of PAc's stomach and his face. Pac loves to feint before he lunges in with big shots, but guess who is the "king feinter" in this sport...lol.

Floyd fights a bit more flat footed nowadays, but he bends at the waist, uses his jab, and uses is speed and defense to win fights now. Pac is open for a split second, and that is way too much time for Floyd to land a check hook after the jab. Floyd will break Pac down, and stop him in 11 rounds...if PAc isn't caught earlier. Floyd will jab, jab, and jab.

The smartest fighter(Floyd) in the game is back, and those feints, right hooks, lunges and the big left southpaw style won't be enough to beat a fighter like Floyd. The motivation for Floyd to train for a fight of this magnitude is enough that if you are a bettor, bet on Floyd by tko. The body punching slows Pac, and the jab opens Pac up for a lightning quick bomb by Floyd. The lead right by Floyd won't come early in the fight. Floyd will be calculating when to use the straight right. Nobody went to Pac's body except Morales and Marquez, and even they couldn't sustain their attack long enough although Morales did attack Pac's body the most.

The next thread that I write in a few weeks will be on how Pac can beat Floyd.

I would tend to agree here, especially regarding the jab to the body.

One danger for Floyd in this fight is that his best plan involves giving up real estate and looking for counters. If he stays too patient and the counters don't come, or if he has trouble landing the jab, he might find himself losing rounds based on inactivity. I would be shocked if Floyd chose this fight to start opening up offensively, but there might come a point in the fight where he will have to.

The other option is to stand his ground with the front shoulder, but this will give Manny the chance to unload flurries. Countering single shots from distance seems like the safer proposition.

if some of you think that that pacquiao just gonna run through mayweather then u are sadly mistaken. beating barrera, morales, marquez hatton and dlh is impressive but none of those guys compre to mayweather in terms of style and defensive skills.

you just contradicted yourself in the other thread after you saw Pac beat up Hatton. You said he has a great chance against Floyd Nallege, I respect you as a poster but you're full of **** sometimes.

Good post. You can't stand there and cover up when Pac opens up while Pac is trying to attack. Uncle Rog will be telling Floyd, keep the jab in his face. Floyd operates best when he isn't in with a guy being aggressive on the inside. Castillo and Hatton had the right idea on how to attack Floyd, but were limited offensively lacking right hands. Pac has the two fists needed to beat Floyd, but he lacks infighting skills on the inside to beat Floyd when he is slowed down. I saw this in the latter rounds of the Morales fight.

I agree with all the positive attributes you bestow upon Floyd. However, at this stage in his career Floyd doesn't seem to ever throw "bombs" and he just isn't busy.

These are two facts that worry me. How do you win on points when you don't throw a lot of punches. How do you stop a fighter when you are dependant on him running into something.

I think that even the most avid PBF fan would have to agree that in order to beat Pac it can't be like any method we've seen in either the Hatton or ODH fight. I dont doubt that he's up for it, but we are going to have see the best of PBF.

Pac can beat Mayweather, I dont think he will, but I toatlly think that Pacquiaos the only one that can do it. Its not Miguel " I get hurt every fight" Cotto or Mosley " I have trouble with boxers" Mosley. I think Pacquiao even has a better chance then Williams. Now I think Mayweather beats Pacquiao but if Pacquiao won I wouldnt be surprised

Doby, I will write a post on why I think PAc beats Floyd later. I still feel that way, but I'm still picking Floyd to win...no offense!

I don't see any smaller fighter beating Mayweather. He already has so many technical advantages that it will require someone who can neutralize those advantages with height and reach to beat him (ie, a younger DLH or Paul Williams). If JMM hurt Pac, Mayweather will knock him out .

pacquiao definately has a chance. that speed and ferocity, will bother anybody but even in a victory, pac-man will see more counter fight hands from mayweather that he would have ever seen before.

I like the screen name lol. Reminds me of Saturday's back in the day watching Kung Fu movies. The Toad played the guy in "The Kid with the Golden Arm lol. Anyway, why are some fans saying Floyd isn't busy enough? He had to outbox Dlh, and he had to let Hatton expend his energy. If Pac takes the lead, Floyd will have no choice but to attack/counter. How a guy fights in his last couple of fights has no bearing on how he will fight a guy in the future. That theory only comes in after a guy has lost, not when he hasn't lost before imo.

im a big ******* i think floyd will win simply because of his sound defence and his ability to just slip and slide any shot. his jab with much longer reach than pac will gain him the points for a 12 round win on UD.

but im not counting pac out of this fight, i think he has a good chance to win too, as good as floyd is in his elusiveness moves and defence he is not unpenatrable. he will get hit eventually. whether its enough times or hard enough we will wait and see.
