Its just that this thing has been said so many times that I want to look further into it to see if it even has some basis since I do know that guys like Tim Austin and Mark too sharp Johnson were damn good fighters and I'm trying to figure out if fights with them or other black fighters at the time was possible.

 

Not trying to be funny at all, but name another Asian phenom. Manny is the best fighter to ever come out of the far east. It always comes to mind why Morales or Barrera never fought top black fighters either. :huhNot average but TOP.

Barrera fought Junior Jones and Kennedy McKinney when they were pretty good in the mid to late 90's while he fought the South African Mzonke Fana in 2005 and a seriously faded Kevin Kelley in 2004.

We haven't. It's been Pacdamonium, let's just take the good with the bad. What he said obviously worked, we are discussing it. Fana(so so), McKinney(not Top), Jones was a bit of a threat, but we knew better. I guess Morales just refused to fight blacks huh. Why neither ever fought Campbell,Chico or Cassamayor, you know... that level.

Probably because Diego, Joel and Nate were ten pounds heavier than Morales or Barrera for the most part during that time.

But I seriously don't think that Pac, Morales or Barrera (or anyone) would avoid black fighters. Erik even fought Zahir Raheem who would make anyone look bad into an unwise foray to 135 lbs.

Seriously, instead of saying black they could at least say slick fighters so we could widen our horizons and assume that not all slick fighters are black and vice-versa.
