I really can't give an accurate assessment of floyd-pac atm..i think we should wait and see at july 18
What did I ask? This is what I said, "I like the screen name lol. Reminds me of Saturday's back in the day watching Kung Fu movies. The Toad played the guy in "The Kid with the Golden Arm lol. Anyway, why are some fans saying Floyd isn't busy enough? He had to outbox Dlh, and he had to let Hatton expend his energy. If Pac takes the lead, Floyd will have no choice but to attack/counter. How a guy fights in his last couple of fights has no bearing on how he will fight a guy in the future. That theory only comes in after a guy has lost, not when he hasn't lost before imo". I didn't ask the question you thought I asked, I answered your post because you brought up how Floyd can't fight/use the method of fighting that he used in his last two fights against Hatton and Dlh. Two translates to last "couple" of fights. As far as what you said about Tyson, was it really worth posting... mean really?
You had a great post going, and then you end it with a life time ban bet? Why? You are asking a boxing fan to ban himself if your fighter wins...why?
You're just ignorant and totally contradicting the whole point of the thread. Morales' jab is cited as the benchmark for how Pacman will loose and Morales went from beating Pac in March 05 to being "a barely surviving" fighter in under 1 year? Watch the Velazquez fight where you see Pac start to use the right hook to the body, or hell - Even actually watch some of the fighters fights you're criticising before saying that "they don't go to the body". I tell you this right now - If Roach decides the gameplan is to work the body - Manny will bang Floyds ribs around his left arm with all he can muster.
Doom, the only fighter who ever shook Floyd was Corley, and he let Corley hit him if you have the tape of that fight. Floyd was being macho because he truly wanted to show he was the best fighter in the world. It was a night I remember because Roy Jones had just lost the week before to Tarver, and Floyd was trying to show us he could do it all. Maybe no one else saw what I saw lol, but that is the impression I got because Floyd still won that round. Jiudah never hurt Floyd. It took Floyd a couple of rounds then to solve Judah, and he did. Great learning experience for Floyd, and even Floyd knew Judah would come out fast...in which he did. Floyd may move...maybe not, but I know this, Pac won't be coming out fast like he did against Hatton because Floyd isn't an aggressive fighter from start to finish. It may take a round or two to time Pac. People think Pac will have an easy time hitting Floyd lol. Sorry, but you guys are taking into account how Floyd fought Dlh it seems. Floyd was already tagging Hatton by the end of round 1. Floyd can sit back and use the jab, and his defense to solve Pac all at the same time. Doom, I expect every last Pac fan to hang onto every last blow J.M.M lands. They want Floyd to look bad so that this fight won't go down lol.
Good post. Floyd's name isn't Floyd Hatton, Floyd Diaz or Floyd De La Hoya lol. Some of the posters are really underestimating Floyd's speed, and his defense.
Pacquiao will never get near or touch Mayweather. Look for and expected Mayweather to give Pacquiao a one sided boxing lesson.
Working Floyd's body won't be Roach's game plan I can tell you that, but I see your point lol. I just can't see how Manny is going to attack Floyd...I just can't see it.
Castillo beat the crap out of Void in their first fight. Oscar landed a lot of punches on Void, Pac throws more punches than Void, but Void does not want to fight Pac.
Well in that regard I'm with you - I really can't see how the fight is approached yet, really from either side as I'm kind of curious to see what a shorter Marquez does to be effective against Floyd - It's really compelling from a strategic point of view. It will be interesting for me to see what Floyd's speed is like against Maqrquez if only to see if the rumours of Floyds partying in his brief retirement have done any harm that would cause him to adjust his style.
It's just an open invitation for somebody who would bash pac! anyway, after the fight it seems you know respect pac's achievement and you are now giving pac a chance in case they actually meet. based on my impression you want pbf to win but you would not be surprised anymore if pac pulls an upset.
IF the fight ever happens I expect mayweathers tactic to be similar to how he fought Hatton in respect to waiting for Pac to tire slightly before going to work properly. I think it will be a very boring fight with mayweather running a lot.
