Khan's power should improve a bit at 140, I feel he was a little weight drained at 135. Khan on fight night will weigh around 145, lets see if he can be the first person to stop Kotelnik. Fast speed+Power= KTFO

Khan has much of the former but little of the latter. = disappointing points victory if he doesn't get sparked himself.

I think Hatton would still destroy him quick.

But this fight does make sense now from both parties. The money is there undoubtedly, that ain't even an issue.

From Khan's POV he's seen Hatton get destroyed by Pac, trained by Roach, and he was done in by handspeed. I can see where he'd be optimistic if he figures he handles Pac better in sparring.

Hatton would say that Khan is still learning defence, his vulnerable and soft. It could only take a good punch from him, like the right hand he landed on Pac.

It would be a great event, a great way to go out for Hatton, he couldn't stage a better fight in England. It would be a great way for Khan to announce himself on a world level.

As I said power should improve moving up to a more natural weight for Khan, plus his power will also improve as he gets older, around the 25/26yr old should be right near his peak, being weight drained effects your power also.

He's not anything resembling a powerpuncher now. It's all volume that does the damage. Nothing wrong with that, but I can't remember seeing Kotelnik being particularly hurt except in his last fight against a huge puncher.

Roll on 27 June so I can see if I am right/wrong, i wanna see improvment in his power, because if he can add a bit more power to hand speed we should see good results.

I think so, he has been at 135 for 5 growing years now, its about time he moves to 140. He has even said he was killing himself making 135 in a interview with BBC.

Apparently so - but I think the depth of talent at 135 might have more to do with it. Almost all the titlists at 135 and the best guys in the division (JMM and Juan Diaz) would turn Khan inside out.

He's got no chance of a title at that weight, but at 140, Kotelnik's probably mediocre enough that Khan has a chance. No way he'll fight Bradley though.

DLH was weight drained - Khan is not. Did you see the size on his shoulders and arms? That is not weight drained.

He's bound to say he was struggling, he's moved up because it's the easiest title shot. If Kotelnik was 135 the fight would be there.

Don't be taken in so easily.

True you are right about the 135 champs, He has even said he is not ready for JMM and I think yet not ready for Juan Diaz. This is a easier title shot. This is like kill two birds with one stone, 140 will be a better weight for him and a world title shot.

Khan ain't gonna be hurting Kotelnik with that pitty patty **** the way Kotelnik fights. Kotelnik is very methodical, he is not going to be charging in like Oisin ***an and walking onto punches. Because Kotelnik is economical with his punches, the vast majority of Khan's punches are going to be blocked or partially blocked because he has no variation. Jabs and right hands will be blocked unless he counters Kotelnik's counter. I don't think Khan posesses a good left hook around the guard, or bodywork.

He can throw all kinds of flurries but it ain't going to be hurting **** that is for sure.

Khan is a freak in the gym, if you told him to go down to 130 he will make the weight, but it will be no good for him. Frank has kept him at 135 so he can he could feed him super feathers and will not get KO.

Unless Hatton is totally short then I would expect him to destroy Khan.
