He's a professional. He would have moved up the right way. Hatton is too sloppy. He would have got TKO'd early. He doesn't keep his hands up like Diaz.

Marquez would have got a decision over Oscar in a slow pace fight.

    Nah he wouldn't have.

Pacquiao has grown into a bigger man than Marquez and has more speed, fighters with speed move up weightclasses easier.

Maybe, but its a totally different fight with JMM.

Pac had a lot of intangibles going for him - south paw, speed, and he carried his power. Pac's size and style helped him because I think both DLH and Hatton underestimated him, I know I did vs DLH.

Diaz and Casa fights were close until the KO's, but Pac shellacked Hatton and DLH.

No...Pac is better than Marquez...Haters can say what they want but its not Pac who was flat on his butt four times in two fights against them...Marquez is a better technician but Manny has more power and speed...

Styles make fights. Marquez's Style I dont think would of led to a knock out win over De La Hoya because it was mainly the speed and southpaw style of Pac that was bothering Oscar.

Hatton possibly could have been knocked down, maybe not out though

And Just for the record man and I know you guys on here have heard this a million times but

Manny Pacquiao beat a corpse in De La Hoya
and he beat a guy who has no defense in Ricky Hatton who is easy to hit lets not make no mistake about that.

He will not be doing that against Mayweather because he will have to think about what he is doing if he fought Mayweather because if he didn't Mayweather would be countering him all night long.

Speed kills but brains and intelligence wins fights.

If he did beat them it would not have been in as impressive a fashion. Manny was all over those guys not giving them room to breathe. Marquez is just not that type of fighter. He would want to counter them and that would give them time to get into a rythm of their own as well.

Agree. JMM wouldve TKO'd Ricky in the 10 rd and beat Oscar by a wide UD like 118 to 110.

If the Marquez/Mayweather fight comes off, it will be a big mistake for Marquez to move up past 140.. He's no weight-jumping marvel like Pac is..

Pacquiao would have knocked Diaz and Casamayor out earlier than JMM did though. Not saying Pac is much better at the moment, but stylistically he would have got those two out of there quicker and easier IMO.

After the second Marquez fight, Pac seems like he's a whole better fighter than he was in every category..
