Chad Dawson fighting Tarver in a place called ‘the joint’ only 2900 tickets and you can still buy them for $30. How on earth did this small time fighter ever think he had the right to challenge Calzaghe? American boxing fans are a disgrace, unbelievable. Credit to Steve Bunce for raising this issue.

As an American boxing fan this is a **** fight. No one wants to see it really except Tarver. Everyone knows that if anyone deserves a rematch it was Glenn Johnson who kicked the **** out of Dawson the first time around!

Dawson's promoter is Shaw right?, he needs to take a break from giving Darchinyan head and try to get Dawson on the undercard of a big fight so he can get some damn fans, it's a damn shame that he ain't got the drawing power to pull in atleast 10,000 fans

Its a **** fight, that sadly for Dawson, has to happen. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to see it, but Dawson in general does seem to get the support and recognition he deserves. The guy could potentially dominate for years to come. He needs to get himself into the SMW mix at some point, if not actually at 168, then try and lure fighters from 168 into stepping up. Hopefully 12 months from now we have a clear number one at 168 and he can go after that person.

this is also true, he needs to rematch Johnson, then move down to 168 and rule with an iron fist

While it’s true this bout is less than stellar I supremely disagree with the not so subliminal message being conveyed in your post.* I’m not sure what inspired you to write such garbage but knocking the country I was born in because we don’t fit your standards of a sell out crowd in immature.* The fact that you took the time to create a thread in the pathetic attempt to bash a young and super talented fighter such as Dawson only reveals your insecurities towards Joe’s chances vs Dawson.* At light heavy Joe has graced us with his gift of determination, skill and ring savvy vs two “older” pugilist yet he had his fair share of adversity in both bouts though his bout vs. a much depreciated RJJ was a dominate performance…kudos LOL.* Unlike your opinion for Dawson Calz has pretty much done what he was supposed to do and because of that he will enter into the HOF though I and many other reasonably logical boxing aficionados will hold reservations on his career especially his resume.* I’m not a betting man but if you actually believe Dawson is not worth Joe’s time then you have already told me sub consciously that you fear Claz would ultimately be defeated by this young, determined, strong willed Dawson.
