It seems everytime there's a thread about Bunce, you pop in to ask who he is, even though people tell you everytime. I'm starting to think you might just have an agenda against him or British pundits in general.

calzaghe made some noise about retiring, chad said he'd like to fight joe or bernard but i never saw chad driving a lorry load of cash to joe's front door.

let's be honest here people, bunce obviously means dawson is a nobody when it comes to making money and attracting viewers. his first fight with tarver sold about 500 tickets. that's pathetic to say the least.

 

Bunce is obviously a clueless moron with minimal knowledge of the sport, we all know that. But more specifically, he seems to have confused popularity and exposure with ability. It is ironic that a Calzaghe supporter would slag off a quality fighter with great ability who doesn't have the appeal and exposure that he really needs yet. Bunce probably gets away with having no knowledge of the sport in the British public, but we all know he is a joke.

 

well...i'm sure that bunce is speaking from the point of view of the money this fight {dawson v calzaghe} could generate...
i'd be surprised, very surprised, if he meant that dawson was a nobody, as he is a legitimate world champion..

there's a few things i dont agree with bunce on, but i think he's being misunderstood a little here....i'd guess that he considers dawson a good champion, even if he thinks he 'doesnt draw flys'

If he is full well aware that he is a good champion, why kick him while he is down? I hate to break it to you, but Bunce is a *****. His intention here is elevate Calzaghe and reduce Dawson, you don't need to be able to read between the lines to see that.

His ramblings in the video are disrespectful from the getgo. "What right does Dawson have to share a ring with Calzaghe?", ever heard of the best fighting the best Buncey?

Kellerman, whilst full of **** at times, is by no means comparably as stupid as Bunce. In every speech of Bunce's, he will talk in a stupid enough fashion that even casual fans would have trouble taking him seriously. Kellerman talks to a much wider, diverse audience, and can't talk anywhere near as much rubbish as Bunce as he wouldn't get away with it.

 

ah, i can't really argue with you brother...and i do agree about the best fighting the best...and dawson is one of the best at light-heavy.

 

Bunce creates hype and interest for British boxers, so i generally don't mind listening to him say ridiculous (Haye - Klitschko etc), you just have to take what he says with a grain of salt. But in a case like this, there isn't really any need for criticism. Dawson is a good fighter with an unfitting, small fanbase, poking fun at him doesn't really achieve much.
