That was his most memorable bout. Multiple knockdowns with both fighters hurt badly. Sellars nearly did a job on Nelson after that.

That was a farkn awesome fight ! ! ! Nelson fights, i always tuned in for, maybe i was waiting for the fight where he went absolute banana spastic all out.

Was a good single punch, cant remember the cards but he wasnt doing too well from what i remember.

Also, how old IS Carl Thompson ? How old was he in the Sellars fight ? There was always some myth or untruth about his given age wasnt there ?

Also, didnt he always have a slur and it isnt boxing related ?

    Cheers

Carl is well into his 40's. That fight happened around his early 40'3 late 30's. When he spoke he didnt sound like the brightest fellow and spoke with a slight lips of sorts. The guy had taken a ton of punishement in his career but what a warrior. They dont make them like that anymore.

Was he not a world champion kickboxer before he moved to traditional boxing?

He was a great fighter - I remember watching the Eubank fights, great stuff.

    Carl Thompson...

One of the few fighters I'd sit down to watch on TV and know that Im guranteed to be entertained. I never met him but I've never met anyone who did who didn't have anything but praise for him as a man. It's hard enough to be a great fighter and just as hard to be a great man and Carl Thompson is both.

Im not sure about "World Champion" but i know he definitly started life as a kick boxer first. Pele Reid also was a Muay Thai kickboxer.
