people have this weird notion that calzaghe ducked jones and Hopkins but the actual tuth is they ducked him, and thats a fact. Jones even admitted it himself opting to move up to heavyweight and Hopkins priced himself out of it. First he agreed then came back asking for more money. Yes Calzaghe should have went to the US sooner but he has too many haters on here

Calzaghe didn't avoid Jones and Jones sure as **** didnt avoid Calzaghe, nor did BHop, Calzaghe expressed great interest in fighting both men, calling them out a few times in post fight interviews, but even if they were willing to take the fight, do you honestly believe warren would let them anywhere near calzaghe?
Calzaghe had from 1997-2003 to fight a prime Roy Jones. That's SIX YEARS. Calzaghe had from 1997-2004 to fight a prime Bernard Hopkins. That's SEVEN YEARS. He never chased the fights. He never went over to the USA, he never publicly called them out, he never engaged in a sustained pursuit. He could've won fights in the USA, he could've moved up to lhw to legitimize himself as an opponent and pressure Jones, he could've kept the pressure on Hopkins to make the fight. Ricky Hatton done all of this to get a fight vs the p4p#1, Mayweather. Joe never done it. Blame Frank Warren, blame the world - Joe could have chased these fights and he never did. He chose not to. How the **** did RJJ duck slappy? RJJ was the LHW undisputed champ looking to make history at HW, All Slappy was in 02 was a WBOGUS belt holder no one knew who the fraud was until he beat Lacy. Again how did Bhops duck Slappy? Bhops was the undisputed MW champ while Slappy hid in Wales behind the Unrecognised WBOGUS. If Slappy really wanted either man he would've simply moved up or down 1 weight class and became a manditory , as both guys were undisputed he would've got his shot.
Hatton may not be very skilled but atleast he had the balls to fight the best, Calslappy could've easily done this, he didn't because he knew Roy beat his ass quite easily.

When Jones and Hopkins were World Champs Joe was busy defending the WBO in Wales. When the fight with Jones eventually materialised Joe reneged on his previous words that Jones was shot. All of a sudden once the contract was made Jones was not shot anymore.
Glass Jaw Roy was NEVER the undisputed champion at any weight he fought at. Two of his belts at Light Heavyweight were stripped from DM and the WBC belt was handed back to Roy without even fighting for it.
