Another thing against B-Hop is the success of his opponents after he beat them ... a majority of them never acheived anything ... Tarver managed to get a title but quickly lost to Dawson.

Tito went down hill and so did DLH & Winky ...

Unlike a guy like Pacquiao, DLH, Mayweather ... his opponents after he beats them either acheived something afterwards or had something to bring to the table before, they weren't just challengers.

    Hopkins resume is definately over-rated.
    Calzaghes resume is also unspectacular.

Showing your lack of Boxing knowledge right there.

You mean Simon Brown who beat Terry Norris and Blocker.

    Norris beat Leonard,Blocker,Meldrick Taylor,Castro,Don Curry,Mugabi

You know that fact that you guys have to put ANOTHER fighters resume down to build up Joe's says it all really.

Norris and Blocker were saviours of the middleweight division were they?
Taylor 140lbs, Castro limted, Don curry lost to Lloyd Honeygun at welterweight.
    Small fighters.

Why did Hopkins never fight for a 168lb title?
Because his natural advantage over smaller fighters was not there.
He was crafty enough to beat "punchers" but a decent boxer beats him all the time. Eubank and Collins would both have beaten him.

Small or not proves what you know about Boxing calling Brown an obscure fighter.

I got bored scrolling down his boxrec record. Plenty of red at anything above welterweight says it all.

Brown was not a worthy challenger to Hopkins at middleweight.

Hopkins should have been fighting the likes of Dariusz Michalczewski, Collins, Benn, Eubank, Ottke rather than faded Welterweights\lightmiddleweights like Brown, Trinidad, De La Hoya.

I agree Hopkins resume is really overrated, mainly because his level of opposition isn't that good(like other people said his best wins are over fighters going up in weight to fight him).
I rank Calzaghe's win over Kessler as good as ANY Hopkins' win.

And Head to Head Calzaghe wins.

And i'm far from a Calzaghe fan.

Which would make sense aside from the fact that Hopkins instead went to 175 to fight a true LHW. So basically it's completely wrong. So is the notion that Eubank or Collins would beat Hopkins.

Exactly. Without the break that Cortez gave him he would have had less energy to finish the fight.

It is no different than Francisco Lorenzo acting in the first Humberto Soto fight. Another Cortez fight.

If you like Francisco Lorenzo's acting as "old school" "Mr Slick" "ol Mr Bag of Tricks" than fine.

Otherwise, Hopkins / Calzaghe isn't really a close fight.

Calzaghe should have taken the rematch though in Wales and stomped him out over there but it isn't as bad as Lennox not rematching Vitali IMO.

    Both annoy me though.

Ok for you ****s saying B hops resume is **** well just look at how shitty calslappy is its embarrassing to see ppl post **** like " oh calslappy could beat all of bhops opponents" all i have to say is then why didnt he do it why did he chosse to stay in that llittle floating turd of an island and not pick up some fights in the US were most of the elites fight hmmm...? because hes no one thats why..... Oh before i forget the reason why bhop and rjj didnt fight slappy way back when he was calling them out was because he is a B rate fighter who was hidding behind some lame strap and figthing noobody's. but when he did get his chance got a nice payday using that ameture pitter patter punching style... im sure if calcrappy comes out of retirement hes going to call out some old boxer and then just pitter patter him to death such a lame fighter with some of the dumbest fans ive ever met Long live calzagay right?
