Who scored Tarver - Jones I for Tarver?

Well, Hamed was more dominant in a better division, but for a shorter period of time. He has a comprable resume (although Calzaghe's is clearly better - if you believe he actually beat Hopkins).

Hamed went to America and generally fought better opposition at a much earlier stage in his career. He also cleaned out his division in less than half the time it took for Calzaghe to do the the same in his. In terms of boxing accomplishments, Calzaghe is greater. In terms of overall legacy, Hamed is the more significant fighter.

 

Actually, if I watched it and scored it, and for some bizzare reason had a massive change of heart and decided that Tarver wasn't robbed. I would be perfectly happy to say 'I got it wrong - Jones won clearly'. That's just the kind of man I am.

 

Jones 8-4 or 7-5, clear win, people were suprised at Tarver having impressive moments but Jones clearly edged him and won the last 2.

HoyaUK goto youtube and score the fight because most of us didn't have Tarver winning more than 5rounds, so no way could you tell Tarver won easily without scoring it. Maybe you liked Tarver's work more than Jones, I've sometimes done that and come out with an usual score/opinion.

 

I can't score fights on youtube. I have it on DVD, I will revisit it and score it and try and remember to bump this thread. Given how strongly everyone seems to feel that Jones won, I will definetly reassess my own opinion that Tarver won clearly :good

 

LMAO at ******s thinking Tarver actually won. I had it 8-4 jones, and I can see at worst case 7-5 jones.

Look, ill just ignore you now and see what you come up with when you score it.. This isnt 3 were talking about---but 1.

 

Don't remember my card but I had Tarver just edging it.

I remember thinking it was close. At this moment I'm finding it hard to accept that anyone would score a win by distance for either boxer.

 

I had it Jones 7 -5


Thought Tarver should have won it, he would have if he went after Jones more but he didnt and he let Roy do enough to win it

 

This is the fight****SPOILER ALERT***(Just incase anyone wants to see it) that jones really digs deep in the final round to take it.

 

I scored it for Tarver. And I can't stand the guy.
