Manny was KOed by a shot to the body and the head.(two seperate fights) That has nothing to do him being the top dog in 2009.

It's funny how things turn around. Those guys did to Pacquiao what Pacquiao is doing to these weight drained big names. I call it how I see it.;)

Exactly. The guy is a throwback in every way. He wasn't protected when he was young, he got thrown in against good fighters and took a couple of losses, fought his way to the top from nothing, and now he fights anyone anywhere, and wins. A legend who will get better and better and better with time. No boxing fan will ever not know the name of the flyweight champion who went to war at 140 and 147.

Torrecampo KO'd Manny with a big looping left to the tip of the chin.

I watched it "live", the first time it aired on local TV.

    Legit KO.

Manny wasn't down for a full ten seconds, refs often take time a few more seconds to inspect the fighter although I don't think it is right always, we can't blame Manny for this and I think it is doubtful it impacted the fight result, Pac likely would have survived the round if it was started a few seconds earlier, saying he was given a long count without watching it is a bit misleading, it isn't like he was sprawled across the canvas and needed extra time to recover and get up, this isn't anything close to a Bute / Andrade situation

All that said, it should be brought up. It was events like this knock down and win over Nadal that helped shape Pacquiao into the great fighter he is today.

We should call Rustico to testify on this important issue. Some people are having sleepless nights on this.

That looked more of a forearm/ elbow type of blow to the chin before it deflects to the nuts. But who gives a ****, Pacquiao is the best P4P fighter in the world while Torrecampo is probably washing dishes or working the drive thru at Burger King.

are we're still talking about a fight that happened 12 years ago?! some ppl have to dig up 12-year old fight videos in an effort to discredit the p4p #1 best fighter in the sport today. :-( pac is at least 15X a better fighter now than he was then.

EVERY man's natural reaction to getting hit in the balls is to instantly cuff them or cover them up.Manny does not do this.

So we agree. It was definitely a clean KO, but it has absolutely no bearing on Pacquiao's standing as a great fighter today.

Manny was lasted stopped When he was 17 and again when he was 20 years old. Right? That was a long time ago and he is a much better fighter today. He hasn't lost a fight in about 4 years and avenged that loss by twice beating Eric Morales. Not all fighters can be Benetiez and Tyson at that age.
