True to a degree. Hatton was promoted very well by Warren. Warren had no interest in Witter at all and dashed him as soon as he had a chance.

If Witter had a good promotion may be he too would be a millionaire like Hatton who knows.. Either it certainly was all business for Hatton from the very outset and for that he did VERY well out of this sport but wasnt willing to return the favor.

All Witter could do was keep winning fights and he won 18 in a row before finally getting a shot at the WBC strap.He won that and defended it twice knocking out Moura and Vivian Harris.During the build up to the Bradley fight Witters father who had been diagnosed with cancer was very poorly that may explain his "pathetic" performance against his unbeaten mandatory challenger.

Witter is not a bums on seats fighter and he will never have the football following Hatton had but that does not make him any less a fighter than Ricky.

The rumour is that Witter was told his Dad was dying from cancer just a couple of days before the Bradley fight and his head was not on the job when he got in the ring.

It certaintly was the worst performance I've seen from Witter, he's come back with a couple of KO victories since. I didnt think Bradley was anything special that night either - just a solid boxer.

There's no doubt Hattons team avoided Witter when he was in his prime.
