Well I've been training for a good 2 months now, I've only sparred full out once. My coach *jesse ravelo* says I'm ready, but I'm not quite sure I am.

I know that boxing isn't easy and don't see how only after 2 months, I could be ready for TAAF Texas Games.

Your thoughts on what I should do would be appreciated.

There's no way to know if you are ready after only sparring once.

you're from killeen? cool :) practically neighbors.

Your trainer was the coach of the 96 Olympics, I think he knows what he's doing.
He may just be testing you to see how you react too- if you work harder at the idea of a fight, he'll get you ready. If you balk or hesitate at the idea of a fight, he may not push you as much.

Hey that's cool :D, he's never pushed me to fight. But he asks me how I feel and such. Puts me in the ring with almaraz sometimes

You need a lot more sparring to be ready. The fatigue and confusion of your first fight is hard to imagine or prepare for without a lot of sparring. Maybe start off sparring one-minute rounds to work up to all out sparring to simulate a real fight. Good luck!
