    Down twice in the Mercado fight. I blame the altitude. The rematch backs my claim

    Hopkins said that was the hardest fight he ever had. He was hurt pretty bad mind you and was unsteady on his feet for some time. Quite uncharacteristic of Hopkins.

    He was nearly knocked out in the Mercado fight. Also, Robert Allen stunned him in their third fight.

    Yeah, he pulled straight back after a lefthook. That was an invitation for Allen to hit him. Hopkins said after the fight that Allen is a heavy hitter!
