im saying though... how will floyd slow down paul's rhythm ... floyd is SO MUCH smaller than he is... jabbing against floyd would be tough because floyd is tiny in comparison to paul

IMO but Floyd does not have that power at WW and not enough to hurt Williams. Williams is a whole different story than that clip. Floyd does not fight like that anymore anyway. We're talking about the Floyd of now here!
And Corrales is not Williams by a long ways, even though I really enjoyed seeing him fight.

I'll have to pick Williams in this one. Williams made Margarito(who is a big Welterweight) look small in there, literally small, imagine how big he would be against Mayweather. Williams is no Margarito either, the guy is extremely active, fights his height and knows how to box, he also has underrated defense. Williams is just too much for anyone right now especially FAR smaller fighters like Mayweather. Williams would FORCE Mayweather to stand and fight if he wants to land something, if Hatton was able to apply some of his wrestling tactics imagine what Williams would do with the size advantage he has, height, reach, power and serious speed.

I know what he would do the first six rounds imo, Floyd would pot-shot with the straight right and tie him up. He would have too!

LOL... Yeah, Mayweather doesn't have the Tyson-ish power of Carlos Quintana, and he doesn't fight in a defensive counter punching style anymore. lmao... WTF...

Floyd doesn't jab to the face really.

He throws a brilliant jab to the body. I can see him landing that effectively against Williams, in fact Williams is probably the perfect height to land that on. And obviously his straight right will be a massive weapon.

If a B- fighter like Quintana could do this, what would an A level fighter like Floyd do?

Prime for prime, Floyd wins no contest. Floyd now? I'll have to see how he looks against MArquez.

It's the toughest fight for Floyd in my mind at 147 or below. Like I said, I gotta see Floyd and how he looks in his next fight. Williams is a hell-of-a lot bigger though. You know I watched the Floyd/ODLH fight again and at the end I caught that Floyd said he actually weighed 148 for the fight, not 150. ****, he didn't weigh no more than Pac did against ODLH, but the difference was ODLH only weighed 147 against PAc and I'm sure he was 160 + against Floyd. Quite a double-standard people used in gaging those two fights! lol

A-****ing-men. What other basis is there?

I'm embarrassed at some of these notions with the evidence that's there.

Logic would say so however history tells another story in this case. Mayweather also doesn't have the power to really bother PTP much less trouble him with his power punch.

I thought only Margo-Cheato fans used that Quintana fight to justify Paul is not as good as some of us think?:think

Paul Williams do throw a lot of punches and it's coming from all angle. Winky said he couldn't see all the punches cuz it was coming from everywhere. That's why i would favor williams in this fight cuz floyd will be on a defensive mode. Lately the judges has been favoring boxers who are more aggressive in the ring.

    Ex.
    Penalosa-Deleon
    Wright-Williams

Power is only a problem for those expecting Mayweather to be able to stop Williams. Running circles around Williams and potshotting the **** out of him isn't the least bit of a problem.

Well when you figure in that Floyd plays rope-a-dope more than he used to, Williams will get to score a lot of points in those situations. He throws punches from everywhere as well. No, he's the worst stylistic nightmare out there for Floyd. Not saying Floyd would not win, but it would not be easy!
