You guys claiming that Klitschko's defense was porous are way off. How much leather did Klitschko eat without being exhausted first? Hardly any, that's why his "chin" was a questionmark for a long time, he was seldom hit. I think the porous defense crowd needs to watch some old Michael Grant fights and they'll see a real example of a fighter with a porous defense getting by on a size and strength advantage. For the most part Klitschko had a decent defense. The only guy who managed to get him while his legs were still fresh was Sanders. The other two needed Klitschko to be dead in the water before they could land much on him.
Btw he had a great reflex against straight rights and jabs. He avoided them with head movement(wave little like tyson). The fight between those two would be who lands first and due to experience and aggression of lennox he had better chances.
I'd be shocked if you can find a quote from a Haye fan worthy of its own thread.Only Klit-ites are capable of such material.Good luck with it anyway:good
Lewis said Wlad wasnt ready for him in 2002 and it wasnt worth his coming back into the ring at that point to fight him, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHRAH_yfhxQ
Maybe lewis made the right choice an runnig into retirement instead of getting a 30 million dollar payday was better for his fans,,they seem to be so in love, how traggic it would of been to have a better prepared vitali wipping on this gent,,,,,That shows me the respect lewis has for his fans,,,,,All RESPECT for lewis, not as champ, or having a heart, but for his sensitivty for his fan
Possibly, Wlad never encountered someone as mature as Lewis in the ring, with that ones power and strategy, and athletics. However, Lewis would have knocked out David Haye about 0.5 microseconds after the first bell either. And most of the current "top 10" not much later either.
Early Wladimir had faster hands I think. Back when Wladimir threw awesome combinations and flexed his power a good deal. I think it'd be a great fight, a lot would depend on which incarnation of the fighters we'd get and what gameplan they'd have. Does Lennox fight like he did against Vitali? Does he box? Does he hunt Wlad for a KO? Does Wlad box? Who's the aggressor? Etc. I wouldn't predict it, but I'd favor Lennox for his chin and I think he's a better fighter and Wlad would have trouble outboxing him.
I know this is pre Steward Wlad, and he got wooped by Sanders, but honestly I think it would be coin toss. I could see Lennox getting caught by a good left hook of Wlad's. There is a reason why Lennox avoided southpaws his entire career, so I think Lennox would be vulnerable to shots coming from that side.
Lewis admitted that He (Lewis) avoided Sanders. Vitali would have kocked Lewis out if not for the cut. Lewis retired rather fight Vitali again. Vlad is quicker than Lewis, probably would have knocked Lewis out, that is the Vlad who is trained by Steward, but even before that. Lewis is not a southpaw with a quick straight left hand. Lewis was knocked out by Rahman and McCall, so..................
Oh yes...lennox would have/tyson would have/bowe would have/holmes would have....mercer would have if younger.......not sure about michael moorer though....
Oh what a surprise. Some incoherent bull**** from Farmboxer. You say Lewis is not a southpaw with a quick left hand, as if thats the only thing Wlad has trouble with You guys are frustratingly deluded. The fact that Lewis is two leagues above Sanders ever was, doesn't cast a little doubt into your mind? You know I dont remember Purrity and Brewster as being fast powerful southpaws. You aren't more worried about the fact that we have a 6-6, master jabber, with a superb defence, skills, speed, and an array of power punches that make him one of the hardest all round punchers EVER, with probably the hardest straight right ion history, with good inside ability to boot, who NEVER had a problem with big guys like Wlad. Not to mention, leagues above anybody Wlad has ever fought. What scrap of evidence leads you to believe Wlad beats probably the best H2H heavy of all time? God you're stupid.:hi:
