Pac's advisor gives take on who Pac should fight next

    “Manny should go for Cotto. It’s the wise fight. It’s the better fight..For one, he’s a straight-up fighter. He’ll come in. And that’s what Manny wants, someone like Ricky Hatton. I think we have a better chance against Cotto than Mayweather who will run away from Manny inside the ring. Not a beautiful fight."

    “Mayweather can dance the whole fight and beat Manny on points. And even if Manny wins, he may not look good, So why fight Mayweather this year and maybe affect your chances in the elections. Manny should take on Cotto, beat him, then run for Congress, and face Mayweather later on."

    Basically, it sounds like this guy is saying Pac should fight Cotto so that he can look good and win an election. Pac can then cash out against Mayweather(probably ending his career with a loss), retire, and take office.

    Think Roach said it best when his choice is for Pac to take an easier stay active fight, maybe one with Bradley or anyone else in the division to get some belts at the same time. Not to say that Bradley is a joke, of course not but I just don't see him beating Pac at this stage. Then he can take a bigger fight after it which is obviously the winner of Mayweather/Marquez. I'd rather see Mosley rematch Cotto.

    Thats why they want him to fight a guy that could really **** him up(cotto)instead of a guy that would run from him(Floyd).

    That's probably why he wants Pac to fight him. The fight would be at 143. Cotto would have to kill himself to make weight and would be a walking skeleton ala Oscar come fight night.

    The only people who don't want Pac to fight PBF seem to be PBF haters and Pac fans or his advisors. Hmmm they must know something.:think

    I agree that Cotto is the easier fight he has leaky defense doesn't fight smart and has a shaky chin. I'd pick Pac to KO Cotto.

    this **** they talking sounds dumb.... i think they scared of losing to floyd

    and would rather lose to cotto then lose to floyd

    edit:

    not only that but pac vs floyd would make more money then any fight ever.... if cotto vs pac happens i hope cotto wins

    i think id rather see cotto vs floyd... but floyd vs pac would do more for floyd's resume and his pockets as well... cotto vs floyd would be big in america

    You can say the same about the Floyd huggers,they want him to fight Pac and JMM guys they know he will beat instead of fighting real WW like Mosley and Cotto.

    Pac can't deal with Floyd's style. Cotto is a come-forward fighter like all of Pacquiao's other opponents (except Marqeuz).

    I think 144 would be the max. Pac would hold all the cards in the negotiations. If team Cotto doesn't want to be agreeable in terms of the weight limit, Pac can always fight the Mayweather/Marquez winner, or a top contender at 140, or even Valero. Cotto really hasn't had any huge paydays and isn't at that superstar level yet in terms of fan recognition. Quite simply put, Cotto needs Pac a lot more than Pac needs Cotto.
