A year ago I thought baby bull would give him problems,The thing is he has proven to be just as effective at whatever weight class he goes.

Pac will knock Void out, but Void has already refused to fight Pac.

Pac's KO of Hatton...greater than ANY of Mayweather Jr's wins.

Pac WAS awesome vs those guys but thats his style of fighting, Mayweather produces boxing technical masterpieces, works of art in boxing terms, he doesnt go straight for the kill, he uses his BOXING skills to outclass opponents.
Im not saying Manny is just all power, he has good boxing skills himself but he is nowhere near Floyd`s class in that department.
Saying Pac is better (or whatever) because he bulldozed those guys & Floyd didnt is like slagging off Manny for not outboxing those guys & making them look silly.

Different styles... & both DID get the job done.

you're saying Pac's dismantling of Hatton isn't a work of art, or a technical masterpiece?:blood

Pac took 2 rounds to get the job done at Hatton's optimal weight. Floyd took 10 and lost a round or 2 in the process. Get off the Floyd cockpipe.

Great post ... I agree with you ... I think that you have valid points ... you could also argue that Floyd had beat three reigning champions at the time ... you can't say that bout Pac's last 3 fights ... only reigning champion he fought was Hatton and he was already destroyed by Mayweather.

Baldomir hadn't lost a fight in 8 yrs prior to facing Mayweather
DLH was coming off a win over Mayorga and looked very good early on
Hatton had beat Collazo (reigning champion), Urango (undefeated) - Castillo who had never been knocked down (Stopped him) he was on an ultimate high ... a different confidence displayed in any other fight ... and he was ranked top 5 p4p.

add to that David Diaz' only Marqee win was over a battered Morales ... he was losing to Santa Cruz before Santa Cruz faded ... he got knocked out by Kendall Holt and hadn't to the date faced aother world class opponent. To make things even worse he took a tune up against an unknown just so that he can keep the title and lose it to Pacquiao.

DLH was coming off a long lay off ... he had lost to Mayweather jr and was pretty battered by Stevie Forbes ... his orbital bone was broken ...

Hatton was just knocked out by PBF ... was beaten up pretty badly in a win over Lazcano and was not moved by the feather fisted Malignaggi.

Barrera was coming off a loss to Marquez

Morales just got beat by Zahir Raheem and wasn't a featherweight anymore ... and Pac refused to fight him at lightweight knowing that he wouldn't be as drained.

Marquez booked more rounds than Pac did in their combined two fights ... despite being knocked down 4 times ... It says something about a fighters skills when he can knock down a guy 3-times in the first round and only manage to get a draw and nothing more.

I don't care who you are ... you get knocked down 3-times against an explosive guy ... the guy who knocked you down is supposed to finish you ... Pac wasn't even able to capitalize off of that.

hmm says... David Diaz is the only notable cherrypicked opponent. Roach saw little opposition from Diaz in defending his title so it was perfect timing for Pac to move up in weight. I don't think DLH was cherrypicked either since the idea came from Larry Merchant through by both parties and an agreement was made in terms of weight. The weight they fought was unknown in terms of Pac having to move up 2 weight classes into unknown territory and DLH going back down to one (mismatch w/ Pac being the huge underdog). All that crap about Mayweather taking everything away from DLH for Pac is stupid, cause then you can say Mosely, Hopkins, Trinidad or whatever took everything away from DLH before he faced PBF. It was just an opportune time to have Roach in their corner who foresaw almost exactly that DLH was just a shell. Hatton is not cherrypicked either, the guy was the undefeated champ @140 and failed at defending his title.

The SD was bull****. Floyd won comfortably about 8-4. More impressive than Manny's victory.

Sorry but Oscar - yes past his prime - was still live against Floyd and worked until he gassed and Floyd took every round.

Oscar was dead against Pacquiao. And Pac was the BIGGER guy on Fight Night coming by weights.

Oscar didn't even throw any punches back against Pac ... and its not like Pac is that explosive - DLH was shot ...

So your saying what Ricky Hatton has done for the last couple of years is more impressive than what Pacquiao has done.
