Im going to be smug and say ive a long-time stated on here that he's an illiterate, overrated, mushmouthed, self absorbed idiot and I was always baffled that he was so highly regarded on ESB and in the wider boxing fraternity.
I didnt need the PAC fiasco to know he's a charlatan.

Does anybody else share my proud distinction and fabulous judgement?:?

I have no idea why someone would choose to work with him. No way he brings more to a camp than his distractions and egocentrism detract from it.

FLoyd Mayweater Sr. is a good trainer that has helped turn several excellent fighters into championship calibre material including Guzman and Dawson. He also brought out the best in Oscar De La Hoya over the past few years.

He is a former drug dealer and an all around low-life but at the very least he is entertaining in the build up to a fight and he does it without cursing like a sailor endlessly. If it wasn't for Floyd Joy Sr. there would have been no heat going into the Hatton/Pacuiao fight. The 24/7 shows would have been a snooze fest.

Floyd sr is a good trainer and is pretty knowledgeable when he isn't trying to suck up to his son and trying to get him to like him.

His credibility was annihilated by his lamentable stewardship of Team Hatton. Roach outsmarted him, and shamed him by comparison. The guy is a callous ego-maniac and any fighter with half a brain wouldn't touch him with a barge-pole. An all-round loser.

What are you talking about...you are talking about the greatest of all time, not this time, not that time, not the other time, but of all time.

And the Joke Coach Roach cannot approach :lol::lol:

Honestly Teddy Atlas is 1000x more overrated.

Sr is a good but not great trainer.

Once upon a time I'd disagree. But nowdays I'd be surprised if anyone goes near him. His time with Hatton should be enough for any boxer to realise his ego is more important than his boxers.

    agree,

how hard is it to be on time? him on 24/7 going to taco bell instand of going straight to the gym speak volume of his professionalism.

he get credits when his fighters win, shouldn't he be partly to blame when they lose? i don't know what his gameplan was for hatton, but it sure as hell didn't work.
