Breakdown of a possible Pac-PBF matchup: clash of styles

Judah never had Floyd hurt. Corley had Floyd stunned. Just because those two were southpaws doesn't mean that Pac will find success. In big fights with close to evenly matched fighters, both guys will get hit. I'm not screaming Pac can't take it to the body because he got stopped maybe twice by body shots with one stoppage grazing his chin. Corley and Judah were bigger than Floyd naturally, but they weren't stronger. Floyd dominated both guys.

Pac is open for any orthodox fighters left hook, but getting that punch there is the hard part. Floyd has the speed to do that. Floyd has to use his feet...jab and move, and then lay down the smack down meaning get in, do your business and get out to frustrate Pac. He can't think that PAc can't punch because he perceives Pac as being small. Floyd has to make PAc commit...meaning get aggressive early so he can counter Pac who uses his feints very well. Floyd's left hook is his bread and butter punch. Marquez was able to stun Pac late in round 2 of their rematch. Nedal hussein had Pac out with the left hook, and to this day I still think Pac was stopped because the count was long, but he did hurt PAc badly. Pac did come back to win, so he has resiliency.

Pac has to use his feints which are the some of the best in this game. You don't knock down a fighter like Marquez 4 times without using feints, or being able to counter. The straight left by Pac, and a body attack mixed in is how PAc should attack Floyd. Pac also has to get in and out fast. Corley did stun Floyd, but imo let Corley hit him to show his chin, and Floyd was truly stunned. Floyd tried to show us his chin a week after Roy Jones lost to Tarver, and almost paid for it. I don't see that happening to Floyd in a big fight like this. Floyd will make Pac earn everything he gets and vice versa.

Manny will have a hard time and will look amateurish wit floy.Floyd does give Pac opportunities,specially when he coils up against in the ropes.

If Packy's punches get through then maybe he can make it interesting.IF he can..But if Floy slip in punches and time him coming in all day.TKO 11 for Floyd. I favor Floy..

Damn Floyd was so ****ed up, he dodged and blocked everyshot after that.

Aside from a technical standpoint (which I'm done discussing till the fight is made), adaptability will possibly be number 1.

Floyd takes a puzzle and puts it together, figures out the other fighter after the first 4 or 5 rounds, whatever their style is.

Pac has been great at following Roach's game plans, but what about when he needs plan B,C, or even D? He's always fought come-forward fighters. Floyd is something totally different. He has been getting better consistently, but can he take another leap forward in his learning curve to deal with Floyd? I don't know.
