I think the guy is good even with that issue. I believe Margo could go back much better.

Perhaps - but he shouldn't be given the opportunity - He could have killed somebody by cheating the way he did.

Boxers put a lot on the line when they enter the ring and are already at risk as it is.

    you see...
that's another thing....when you say he could've killed somebody, i mean...how serious was this thing...that's why many of us dont let it rest....more people have said it was soft, some have said it wasn't hard but kind of stiff etc etc.....

i think the sketchyness of it all is the main reason why he still has supporters.....i mean, why can't the dept of justice just come out and tell us the whole story.......

how much of it was found (and this is important since sulfur and calcium is found in many things, one of them being healing cream that i'm sure many boxers use)

were the wraps brick hard by the time they tested them ???

if so, how much damage would they of caused anyways....

and honestly, if they really got brick hard, why wouldn't they even care about margo's knuckles....i mean, it seems to me having bricks in your hand would do more damage to the hand then someones face or head...

There was blood on them - like they were used before and did cut his knuckles. Since they were separate pieces placed under the normal gauze wraps it makes the entire wrap become a sort of cast (not like bricks - that would be devasting).

This is nothing new - when I was an amueter guys were caught doing this. It makes the punches feel more solid and can really hurt somebody.

so the blood has been confirmed then :huh..if that's the case, then that could just mean they were old ass pads....i always thought it was just redness from the glove or something....

The tests never confirmed that it was blood - but when inspected before the fight, the person inspecting said he believed it was blood. I'm guessing his logic is since it was placed under the wraps, it was most likely blood and not redness from the glove. I suppose we'll never know for sure.

So what show do you have?

What pisses me off is the Top Rank are backing him all the way, even to maybe do a show in mexico so Margarito can say active.

Imagine how Cotto must be feeling knowing his first loss may of been to Margarito's loaded gloves and ur long time promoter, Bob Arum is backing him although he's been found guilty of cheating and his prepairing for his comeback?! Suppose money talks. :-(

You are right.....he also said that he didn't see anything wrong with the pads.
that leads me to believe that he previously used them!!!!!!
