Bull**** Arum may not want it, but Cotto fights for money, and fighting Williams has not been a concern for him. He even mentioned him as a comeback after losing to Margo.

NOTE: He didn't say it as tune up, he said he wanted a tough fight, but Arum gave him an ultimatum to fight Jennings for the  vacant WBO title.

Cotto ain't never ever ever said nothing about wanting to fight Paul Williams... Now, if you watch the Quintana fight, you can clearly see people from Williams camp sayin "What's up Cotto? What's up Cotto?" Cause they been trying to get that overprotected ***** for years. Nothing.

 No lie, check Hukmania's thread about it :good

EDIT: I think the title was something like "Arum gives Cotto and Ultimatum", you're actually the second person that doesn't believe me, and after I looked it up for the other guy he just said "that's great, Paul has said he wants to fight Cotto plenty of times..." :yep

    Let me clarify.

Cotto might get on the mic and say the same old dumb **** about fighting anyone...

But he knows that Bob Arum won't let him within 3 Area Codes of Paul Williams. And that's a fact. Bob Arum would jump in the ring and fight himself before he lets Cotto in the ring with Paul.

Look what his team did to force margo to fight them when margo was at his peak and P-dub won. Your man Mosley straight up don't want it with Paul.

Place Paul Williams on the list of names that Shane Mosley has no interest in fighting. Mosley seems to be sticking to his guns. He only has three names on his list - and the three potential targets are Ricky Hatton, Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto. He would probably fight Floyd Mayweather Jr - if Floyd decides to make an official return to the ring. Last week, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer revealed that Mosley had absolutely no interest in fighting WBC champion Andre Berto. Mosley himself has gone on the record and told The Ring Online that a Williams fight is not appealing to him. Mosley does not believe their two styles will match up well.

“I’d fight anyone,” Mosley said, “but I really wouldn’t want to fight him.”

Williams, the interim-WBO junior middleweight champion, has been knocking on Mosley's door for the last few months. He takes on Winky Wright [who beat Mosley twice] on April 11 at the middleweight limit. If Williams gets past Wright it's not clear if he plans to stay at 160, move back to 154, or even move down by two to 147, where Mosley is currently the WBA champion. Williams told ***********.com a few weeks ago that he would return to 147 for the right fight - and Mosley was one of the names he was trying to fight.

Relentless and Braveheart, thank you for making this possibly the least intelligent post I've ever seen on these forums.

    Grats!
