Page had a very good jab, one that he could've dominated and won many fights against quality opposition with. The problem was that he was often lazy with his jab, not using it enough and turning what should have been easier fights into difficult ones.

Watched some Tunney tape today. What a brilliant boxer he was! He did have a great jab and knew how to through his right behind it. I see now why Bert Sugar had him rated so high for all time heavies (5 I think?).

Granted however im not basing it just on reach, although Sonnys 84" reach is ludicrous, i am basing it on the delivery of the punch. Tyson, Frazier and Marciano outjabbed longer limbed fighters also by not jabbing at the head but what is in front of them often the chest and shoulders of oponents something Norton did very well also. Jabbing down is not always a benefit

My feeling is that while Wlad has a decent jab (I agree with Suzies comment regarding Vitalis pawing) I personally think he fights a little too square on to actually get the best benefit of his physical abilities and it is purely the lack of quality jabbers around that allows it to be the weapon it is for him at present

Wlad wins entire fights with his jab alone. How can you call that "decent"?? It's very fast, long, well timed, and quite powerful.

How can you have Liston 3 spots higher than Ali when he easily out-jabbed Liston in their fights? Yes, he wasn't too active and aging a bit, but Clay was green as well. Plus, it was not even close or competitive in the jab department.
