I have seen the fight many times over even with the sound off but I wanted to score it again just to see if those people who said Marquez won had a case.

    Here is how I scored:

    PACMAN 9 9 10 10 10 9 10 9 10 10 9 9 - 114

    MARQUEZ 10 10 8 9 10 10 9 10 9 9 10 10 - 114

Did anybody else see it how I did?

i had it 115-133 if i remember correctly for JMM.
Im not bitter about it. I didnt think JMM would get a decision since Pac had bigger plans and usually those guys get the nod in a close fight.
I know who won it in my eyes and really thats all that matters to me. Its just too bad for JMM because that fight would have catapulted him to superstardom.

Dont have my exact scorecard right now but I remember giving JMM the 1st 2 rds due to 2 cracking single punches - 1 in each rd near the end - I went on to have a score of 7-4-1 in rds for Marquez (115-113 for JMM due to Pac`s KD in rd 3)
I thought JMM won the fight but there were worse decisions in history to put it mildly.

close fight but Marquez fans are jealous because Pacman is seen as so much greater. Time for Marquez fans to see if Marquez can prove he is as great as Pacman and beat Floyd. If he cannot beat Floyd, well then he is not as great as Pacman. Yeah Pacman never beat Floyd, but still if Marquez wants to be the same as Pacman he has to beat Floyd. No other way to prove it. Whining about it for years and years that he won that other fight will not prove much. Then James Kinchen can whine about not beating Hearns, yet no one thinks Kinchen is as great as Hearns. Kinchen lost to Virgil Hill and Hearns beat Hill. Marquez has to forget his fights with Pacman and move on and fight Mayweather and hope he can do well. That will help his legacy more. Still, Pacman came out ahead in his matchup with Marquez.

I thought Marquez edged it and it makes me sad that he didn't get it because it would have been a huge win for him. Luckily, things seem to be turned around for him anyway.

Not sure if a fight vs Mayweather will be a good or bad thing tho.

It could be heaven or hell... depending which Mayweather shows up.

I watched it 2 times about 5 nights ago or something like that and I didnt think it was a difficult fight to score but the final score was really close, here it is what i got:

    1. Pac 10-9
    2. JMM 10-9 (clearly)
    3. Pac 10-8 (clearly)
    4. Pac 10-9 (clearly)
    5. JMM 10-9 (clearly)
    6. JMM 10-9 (Clearly)
    7. JMM 10-9 (Clearly) *
    8. JMM 10-9 (Clearly)
    9 Pac 10-9 **
    10. Pac 10-9 (Clearly)
    11. JMM 10-9 (Clearly) ***
    12. JMM 10-9 (Clearly)

    FINAL: 114-113 for JMM.

    * This is a easy round to score but people might not see it that well, before the Marquez cut JMM was winning the round with ease, after the cut Pac makes a comeback and he might be winning the round by a bit but after 2 or 3 seconds he tries to keep going against jmm and he gets countered hard, so the round goes to jmm by a bit, until here to the end of the round jmm keeps winning the round making it clear...

** Difficult round to score but I would give it to pac, Pac starts winning the round good, then jmm makes a comeback and he might tie the round but after 2 seconds pac connects a hard straight left going the round for pac, then in the last 30 secs marquez makes a comeback again and he might tie the round again but in the last second pac connects a hard straight left to win the round...

*** This might be difficult to score for some people because pac finish the round with a nice right hook but if you separate the round in parts you can see it wasnt enough clearly those last 5 seconds for pac...

A very close fight but if you watch it well the rounds were not difficult to score, this was a close fight with clear rounds for each fighter going the fight for jmm...

Also I agree with saul_ir34 attitude...

I don't understand. Their favorite lost. That was close. And don't care who wins it. As long as it's a good fight. I like boxing more than boxers...

Marquez never had a shot at getting a close decision over Pacquiao. He would have had to really dominate because any close rounds are usually given to the bigger star. Alas, that will not happen against Mayweather as he will probably school both of them.

I actually have witnessed more bitterness towards JMM from Pacfans then the other way around.

I'ts non-stop vitriol against JMM anytime his name comes up.

Here's a quick example of some of that.

I don't see too many JMM fans wasting their time on obsessive stuff like that.

    Get over it..........

If you watch the Leonard Hagler fight with the sound off and score it honestly, Hagler won! But the decision is done.......so I got over it!
