Why do people highly rate Duran's win over Leonard?

ok, firstly he was a lightweight who beat one of the atg welters.

Secondly, in the rematch he was incredibly out of shape, and shouldn't have even got in the ring.

Finally, this is ridiculous that we're even discussing this... Duran beat SRL, thats awesome!!!! How can it not be rated highly!!! HOW?!?!?

Thats what I thought. It probably has to do with the way EM beat Pac in the first fight

why don't you shoot yourself in the head?

duran beat leonard clearly. leonard > mayweather

castillo-mayweather could have realistically gone either way.

    it's not the same.

Because it was one punch that beat Lewis, Duran beat up SRL over 12 rounds. Duran beat up Leonard!!! See some sense man!!!

In the rematch Leonard made Duran say "no more, i've had enough"

Same here... the 1st fight was vintage Duran, my eyes never came off him in that fight.

The re-match was vintage Leonard, my eyes never came off him in this fight either.

2 masters at their brilliant best... lets not try take Duran`s best victory away by being silly now... one fight cannot erase another.

Wrong answer....Duran beat him up for 15 rounds. That was back when you had to fight the championship rounds, the the fights were 15....Oh the good old days. If fights had been the ***** distance of 12, Tommy Hearn's would be the one mentioned in talks of great boxers, not Sugar Ray Leonard.:good

And that dope Hagler may have actually been able to beat Leonard.....but that is only a slim hope for Hagler. He would probably have just plodded behind Leonard for 9 more minutes, looking the fool.
