    Lewis had nothing to prove.
Vitali was the universal No1 contender in 2003 and got his shot.
In 2004 Wlad was sparked by Lamon Brewster and you're saying he should have been in the ring with Lewis.

Tell me again who KO's who?

A quick add to Lewis vs Vitali debate.
Lewis was suppose to fight Kirk Johnson who's 6'1ft, Johnson injured himseft 2-3 weeks before the fight, Vitali got called up from the undercard.

Lewis had no time to get any decent sparing partners Vitali's size. As Lewis had been training for a fighter who was 6'1ft to then fight a guy 6'7ft in less then 3 weeks, he did bloody well to adjust to Vitali by the 4th round.

Which makes me beleave if a rematch would of happend and Lewis had trained 2-3 months for Vitali, Lewis would of KO him in less then 8 rounds.

And as for the orginal subject, Lewis KO's any Wlad that shows up. :D

Lewis is an all time great who ducked his toughest test, an that was a rematch with vitali,,,
There was justice for the sport, lewis lost out on several big paydays because lucky punch victory over vitali.....
I imagine this punch would not of landed against wlad, cause of wlad great defense, i see wlad stopping the big chicken about the 7th,,,,:hi:

Vitali was up by two points
I was at the fight live, an no dought in my mind, vitali was so excited after that first big punch he laid on lewis, he just lost his focus for a second, an i felt that cut is what help make lewis rebond alittle, but vitali slowed some in the 6th, but he had good rd 5,,,,i just believe after seeing the fight, several times, lewis was very happy to get out of there,, i didn't feel lewis was taking over, i think vitali was taking a break, an to me that round could of went either way

yes he got a tko in the 6th, in a fight he was losing

I think lewis imagined what vitali would do to him in a rematch, an retired instead of facing that fear

What wlad going to do to hayes, can give you idea what he will do to lewis.....:hi:

Nope Lewis was winning that fight, by working Vitalis cut and making sure doc would stop it. Vitali knew that he was losing, but he didn’t have necesary skills to knock Lewis out.
Then eventually he was stopped and he did lose.

There is nothing controversial in that and who was leading in score cards that point means nothing.

First of all Haye don’t fight anything like Lewis so it doesn’t show us anything about that.

Secondly it will be Waldo who will be knocked out in early rounds.
So enjoy Waldo era while you can. :yep
