Pac did 400-500k against JMM, so Floyd/JMM just needs to be in that area.(that number could be lower given Arum's propensity to inflate numbers). You also have to remember that Pac's fight with Hoya was about 1 million behind what Floyd/Hoya did., and his fight with Diaz did only around 200k. Pac's live gate figures are also well below Mayweather's. If Mayweather/Marquez does over 400k, Pac should consider himself lucky to get a 50/50 or even a 45/55 split vs. Mayweather.
Pac isn't pricing himself out by asking for a bigger share of the purse. He's earned it. However I hope the get it on regardless of the purse
That argument is completely theoretical. And if Floyd's fight with Marquez does similar numbers to the Pac/Marquez fight, that argument gets blown out of the water.
to be fair, its better then mayweather/hatton in that, hatton was undefeated, there was the good guy bad guy angle, and they both were english speakers which resulted in the best 24/7 so far and they didn't have to turn to the trainers for subplots once mayweather had already taken that shine of hatton, for a fight involving a beaten brit and an asian dude with broken english (from casuals point of view) all in all i would say these numbers are more impressive then 915k for mayweather/hatton
Mayweather/Marquez should do 500K+ I would think. Basically, there's no way they can ask for more than 50/50 and say PBF priced himself out.
In the wake of his win over Hatton, Pac's star is shining brighter than ever. At this point Floyd's had faded a little bit compared to back in 2007
Pac's stock has gone up since the win against Hatton. He's been all over the regular news and newspapers. People are going to want to see this guy fight again for sure.
JMM is a bigger star today than he's ever been in the past. a Pac vs JMM fight today would surely beat the numbers from their second fight.
