Theories don't work in negotiations. It's about the numbers. The numbers favor Floyd no matter what theoretical situation is put forward.

"For whatever reason, Arum doesn't want to give them out, nor will he allow his partners at Golden Boy or HBO PPV to disclose them. What does he have to hide, anyway?"

That argument isn't going to go over well during negotiations. From a personal standpoint, I don't care about the split. I just want to see the fight. However, from an objective standpoint, Top Rank probably won't have much of an argument if they try to ask for the bigger purse split.

The tragedy is that this is a natural 50/50 fight but neither side may want to accept that.

I'm surprised Raphael didn't discuss Arum's reluctance to disclose as tied to negotiations. He dropped the ball there.

if pac-hatton gets higher PPV nos. than floyd-hatton, that will be a great achievement given that the former was held in our current bad economy while the latter happened in more prosperous times.

Arum can come up with reasons and theories, but it's about what the numbers were and we know Floyd wins!

just means that these fights could've done better PPV-wise if they were held in more prosperous times.
