50/50 seems fair to me for FLoyd vs pacman. Pacman does not have a history of being an unreasonable negotiaotor whereas floyd does. At the end of the day I think that they will be able to come to terms on a number. There is too much money for thi sfight to not happen.
oscar NEVER EVER! did 850k... during any time period..... i guess there has been a recession forever except when floyd fights
All that 70-30 and 65-35 nonsense Arum was talking goes out the window, if JMM-PBF do 700-800k then Arum is really ****ed
PBF-JMM will do more buys than Pac-JMM guaranteed. Arum is a POS and will try to say Pac is the bigger draw when we will have 3 fights with the same opponents that say otherwise. **** Arum.
Arum's biggest fear is PBF/JMM doing a higher number than Pac/JMM did. It is going to happen so Arum better get ready for it.
That doesn't make much sense. A floyd fight brings Pacman and Arum more money than probably any other 2 fights combined and pacman only has a fight or 2 left in him so it's not like losing to floyd will have much effect on his future earnings.
marquez has never been a PPV fighter. his public profile was very poor for a long time. i don't expect floyd-marquez will do big numbers either, but let's hope that IF a pac-floyd fight comes around that the split won't be an issue that kills the fight....
Not sure where you get your numbers from, but this is the best I could come up with... http://boxing.about.com/od/history/a/payperview.htm Not the greatest source in the world, but I have yet to see yours... 1. Rafael Ruelas (5/95) 330,000 buys = $9.9 million 2. Genaro Hernandez (9/95) 220,000 buys = $6.6 million 3. Miguel Angel Gonzalez (1/97) 345,000 buys = $12.1 million 4. Pernell Whitaker (4/97) 720,000 buys = $28.8 million 5. Hector Camacho (9/97) 560,000 buys = $22.4 million 6. Wilfredo Rivera (12/97) 240,000 buys = $9.6 million 7. Julio Cesar Chavez II ( 9/98) 525,000 buys = $23.6 million 8. Ike Quartey ( 2/99) 570,000 buys =$25.7 million 9. Felix Trinidad (9/99) 1.4 million buys = $71.4 million 10. Shane Mosley (6/00) 590,000 buys = $29.5 million 11. Javier Castillejo (6/01) 400,000 buys = $16.0 million 12. Fernando Vargas (9/02) 935,000 buys = $47.8 million 13. Yory Boy Campas (5/03) 350,000 buys = $17.5 million 14. Shane Mosley II (9/03) 950,000 buys = $48.4 million 15. Felix Sturm (6/04) 380,000 buys = $19.0 million 16. Bernard Hopkins (9/04) 1 million buys = $56.0 million 17. Ricardo Mayorga (5/06) 935,000 buys = $46.3 million 18. Floyd Mayweather Jr. (5/07) 2.15 million buys = $120.0 million
The numbers are exellent. However, you have to wonder why Arum is not willing to release the figures considering how well the fight did.
