Probably has nothing better to do...so instead of twiddling his thumb he decided to call out Adamek or Froch.

Americans get bored a lot and they do **** like this for shits and giggles.

Adamek would make more money fighting Marco Huck than old man Hopkins.

It sure does matter. The fight apparently won't happen either way, but it sure does give you some insight of Hopkin's character.
Hopkins is a legend, but you people need to get off his nuts. The same giving excuses for Hopkins BLATANT LIES would be all over somebody like Joe Calzaghe if he did the same.
So, BHop fans ask yourself this question.
Let's say Calzaghe offers Froch 500K to fight him. Froch takes it as a lowball, and will not accept. Calzaghe comes on ESPN, and says he offered Froch 1.2 million, and he would not accept. Haha....This thread would already be about 25 pages long about how he ducked Froch.

What BIASED people we have on this board. Makes me a bit sick honestly, and the worst part is there so blind they don't even realize what there doing....

How the hell can a 44 year old fighter duck someone from a higher weight class? Fighters get chastised all the time for fighting guys coming up in weight as well as older fighters. Despite this, Hopkins is now being accused of ducking a guy from 1 division up who is more than a decade younger than him. That doesn't make sense.

Hopkins dishonesty doesn’t have anything to do with being an ex-con but comes from being a racists politician and working with GBP. Hopkins does often find a way to weasel out though and that is where his upbringing comes to play.

Adamek really should respond publicly to Hopkin’s recent self-promotion and if that don’t work, he needs to go after the very significant Guillermo Jones

What Hopkins did is worst than ducking. He called Adamek out then treated team Adamek like a bunch of chumps and then on ESPN told the boxing world that Ademek was ducking him.

Speaking of smaller men,I am not terribly impressed with Hopkins resume: Johnson, Trinidad, Hoya, Tarver, Wright, Pavlik. All but Tarver and Johnson were much smaller men. Adamek is a rising star and he already has Bell, Cunninham, and Banks which aint to shabby.

Your entire post is one big red herring that doesn't answer the question that I raised.

"Ducking" is a favorite word of the keyboard warriors. Some fights can't be made, it is as simple as that.

Obviously BHOP feels some kind of guilt which is why over a month later they released new statements to save face.Hopkins got cornered and lied on Friday night Fights and all of a sudden the following Monday GBP releases articles now claiming they offered $1.2.

Hopkins called Adamek out Adamek accepted and then Hopkins got cold feet and lowballed him knowing he would not fight for $500k.

You cant better evidence that this now can you?In his own filthy lying words.

So how much longer will the double standard apply in Hopkins' career?

Welcome to world of Bernard Hopkins. Unfortunately as good as he is, he has a track record of this. Back in 2002 he agreed a £6m fee to fight Calzaghe, then came back the next day and priced himself out by demanding double that.

I agree that Hopkins didn't necessarily duck him, because he has nothing to prove and not moving up 25lbs to fight a new Cruiserweight champion isn't exactly ducking. But if he was never serious about the fight, he shouldn't of talked about it and made a low-ball offer like 500k.

Double standard....he's BHOP so he can do what he wants right????

Despite the fact that i provided indisputable evidance people will still go around claiming Adamek turned down $1.2 simply because Hopkins said it.

Hes right though, Adamek should have taken it for a cool 500k, Hopkins is the big name, Adamek gets a shot at a big name, who's smaller and old and gets 500k, which I'd bet is more than he'll make in most other fights. Maybe Hopkins did go upto 1.2m after Adamek pulled out, thats negotiations for you though
