Outside of a rematch with Vitali, who else was left? Wladimir done got kayoed by Sanders, and if memory serves me right, Jones was out pricing himself against Tyson (Jones wanted $100 million). What was Lewis to do but retire?....

Thing is, give Lewis six months to get back into shape, I bet 10-1 he beats Chris Arreola, Brian Minto, Jameel McCline, Sam Peter, Oleg Maskaev, John Ruiz, Valuev, Chagaev and David Haye.

We wont ever see that happen, but none the less. The fat, retired, Lewis is better than 90% of the HW's out there today.

Lennox didn't owe him a rematch. He didn't owe him ****. Vitali celebrated the loss like a classless ***** pretending he was the real winner, when he'd just got battered by a past-prime unmotivated overweight Lewis.

He fought everybody in his career there was to fight. He was lsoing his touch and he knew that, he didn't want to risk his legacy and health fighting on and is one of the few guys to retire with a HOF legacy at the right time with his health intact.

    ---

More on topci, how exactly would Wlad of beat Lewis? He doesn't have a clear edge in any department, they are both a similar size with similar reach, both with great jabs. Lewis had the hbiggest overhand right in heavyweight history, a very good left hook aswell. He had far better inside skills and uppercuts than Wlad ever has.

He's physically stronger, has the far better chin, the bigger heart and better mentality, and he's very mobile for a super heavy. He would spark Wlad prime-for-prime in no more than 4 or 5 rounds.

Lewis was training for a championship fight, Vitali for a 10 round fight against a bum. Who took it on short notice again? Don't you people remember that Lewis was the one who was booed out of the Staples Center? That he was forced to say that he would give a rematch because of the reactions after the fight?

This forum sucks more ass than usual lately.

Klit haters mocking Klit lovers. Extremist ****tards bending reality to suit whatever homoerotic fantasy they are currently indulging in.

First we have those posters who dream of the Klits butt****ing themselves and each other. Then we have those posters who imagine Lewis (Or Tyson, Ali whoever) anally penetrating them every night.

These two groups sit and throw **** at each other like down syndrome monkeys.

Objectively? The Lewis-Klit fight enhanced both fighters legacies. It was a fight where the loser was ballsy in defeat and so actually gained respect. The winner dug deep and triumphed yet again, further enhancing their reputation.

Klit took a fight on short notice, took on clearly the best Heavy since Tyson, and was outpointing him. Not only that, but he was also taking Lewis's best shots. His chin proved to be beyond granite. It took some guy literally pounding his head so hard that his face was being peeled off his skull to beat him - and at no point was his will conquered.

Lewis was faced with a monster, and rose like a champion's champ. He was faced with a guy who would not bend, and wasn't breaking. Yet Lewis continued to pound Klit so hard that no matter how strong Klit's willpower that his body was practically dismantled.
Other boxers who are faced with granite-chinned opponents win by finesse or outpointing them. Almost none can step above and beyond the realms of normal physical limits and actually pound an enemy until his flesh is mush.

Klit fans have a right to be proud of that effort. Lewis fans do too. Both fighters excelled. One of them - the better fighter - won; but there was no shame in the defeat of the other.

Haters can **** off and die. They add nothing to this forum, and likely nothing to the wider world.

Seeing as it was directed at useless hater-****s like yourself I'd be surprised if you weren't offended.
But please do everyone a favour and off yourself. **** off an die, or at least unplug your computer.
When people comment on how these forums have turned to **** they are talking about people like you, who think they can make impartial analysis yet bleat **** like "Calslappy"

Give me a fan over a hater anyday.
Fighter-haters who are also fan-haters? Man, you are all kinds of ****.
Worthless piece of pus-ridden ****. Kill yaself, for the love of God, just do it.

Anyone who believes that Byrd would have knocked out Lewis shouldn't be allowed to post to this forum. :deal

In fact, with Guantanimo Bay soon to be empty they should be taken there and NEVER let out.

I think Klitites are still bitter about this one because it was his one shot at genuine greatness.... and it was unsuccessful.

There was nobody else, and won't be anybody else, for him to beat in order to be considered great - and I guess I might feel gutted if I were him.

But to spout fanboy nonsense that prime Wlad would beat prime Lewis..... oh dear. Just what stylistic advantages does he hold?

For me he is little-Lennox. Basically a very good carbon copy but not as good in any department, especially on the inside. Vitali was a much tougher fight stylewise..... and so it proved.

    But the fact remains.

Oldest, fattest, shottest, most out of shape unmotivated Lewis.... EVER TKO 6 absolute prime Vitali Klitschko.

    Deal with it :hi:

Vitali was training fo the biggest fight of his career in terms of exposure - a fight on the undercard of the Undisputed Champ and his first major fight in the USA against an undefeated American prospect.

Lennox was training for a blowout against a journeyman with no power, who was a replacement in the first place when Tyson pulled out rematch scheduled for that date, and then pulled out of the card altogether. The only reason they went ahead with the card was because they had already sunk money into the promotion and training costs.

Who do you think would have been training harder?

Lewis is and was one of the few gentlemen in the ring. I still remember where Vitali and him went down on the canvas (tripped) and Vitali tried to kick him, and lennox turned around and helped Vitali up after he got up.

Yet he still manage to get the best of a prime Vitali. Says a lot about Vitali then I say!

There is no doubt that a prime, fully focused Lennox would have beat the hell out of both Vitali and Wlad.:good
